How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe room size was great. The cleanliness was great. Noise levels from other guests were minimal. TV was placed in a weird spot, though.
The beds were super hard on my back. They definitely need to use some of the money they charge guests to get comfortable beds.

I was charged twice, and was not credited right away. I was not told about the additional price of $100.00 for a holding fee. The public bathroom was out of soap and paper towls for two days. Our water handle came off of the bathtub. There were no sheets for the pull out bed. Our original keys didn't work after getting an extra key. I was locked out of the outside pool area, and used the gate to get out of the area. Once at my room, the key wouldn't let me in.

Regarding the double charge and the $100 incidental hold, I apologize if this was not clearly communicated at check-in. This is by far THE WORST hotel stay I've ever had in my life!! The owner called the cops on me because I asked him for a copy of policies regarding mandatory room checks every 3 days, emailed to me after he said he would be checking my room. This was because of my service animals!!

Verified reviewBecause they were my mom, unfortunately we did not get the continental breakfast. We were under the impression that the continental breakfast was free for all who stayed there. Come to find out we had to purchase vouchers for breakfast. This was about the only disappointing thing that I experienced at this establishment. I’ve never been to an establishment where breakfast is not included with your stay. You had to choose continental breakfast somewhere during the check-in process online.
I didn’t like the fact that they do not include continental breakfast. It’s a bit confusing because you have to choose this option when booking your stay online. For this, I was a bit disappointed.

Verified reviewWe specifically booked this hotel for its "restaurant and bar" amenities, this is an absolute joke, this property should not advertise these services in any way. The staff clearly have no experience in a bar or restaurant. They knew nothing about the menu, couldn't answer any of our questions, struggled to get us our very simple orders, and then they were so unbelievably wrong it was almost comical. Our drinks were served to us as this- a shot of gin, an empty glass, a plastic cup with warm, flat soda, and a glass of ice, that he had to go the hotel guest ice machine for, (then the same set up for a shot of whiskey) for us to construct our own drinks. We ordered fries and nachos from the happy hour menu, but we received a very small bowl of French fries, and our "nachos" were literally a TINY bowl of chips. THAT'S IT. When I sent it back as I didn't want to pay for plain chips, it took them 10 minutes to come out and say that they didn't have any cheese (even though our kids both got cheeseburgers) and said they could give us avocado on the side with some thousand island dressing. What?! we were left speechless and ultimately decided to not take them. When we tried to pay our tab, we were told it had to be charged to the room (which I didn't want to do because I wanted to use a different form of payment and it says on the menus that doing so results in an automatic 20% gratuity). We had to wait to pay our tab the next morning at the front desk. We paid $60 extra for the breakfast rate- at least some of this food was edible, and the cook was friendly enough. But my scrambled eggs were somehow so sweet I couldn't really eat them, my son's oatmeal was like thin soup, and the OJ we received was maybe a 5oz glass. But the server, was by far the worst. Same cranky old lady for all three mornings, so unbelievably rude. I've never been treated like that in any customer service venue.
