Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Pool area, hall carpets, and rooms need some refurbishing. Bathroom sink didn't have hot water. Fitness room is too small and doesn't have enough equipment to accommodate more than one person at a time
Staff was friendly and helpful, pool and hot tub decent, room clean and comfortable, parking lot great, and breakfast good.

The third party who I booked the hotel. They were super rude, and unprofessional.
Staff and cleaners were great, but swimming pool was dirty and so tiny. Break fast was not very good. You better to have more choices for breakfast.

TV console placement, lack of a safe in the room, and the fact there was only one treadmill for cardio in the fitness room.
Overall facility was excellent. Staff knowledgeable and helpful, lobby and breakfast area nice. The room was great except for the placement of the tv. Its location on the tv table between the two zones- sofa & desk-and-beds, made it a little awkward to view depending on where you sat. Also, room could have used a safe; didn't have one. The pool and hot tub were excellent, clean, functional. The fitness room, however, has only treadmill, so if you're traveling with others you'll have to take turns. The breakfast was pretty good- hot foods as well as cold.

Bed was worn out and had dips in the mattress. Woke up to the bathroom ceiling leaking from the room above. Water just poured out of the vent. Staff allowed us another room to use.
Very friendly staff, easy check in and out and good location.

Could use more parking. I thought a little on the high side.
Location, easy to get to. Good view of Gulf in my room. Easy check in. I would stay here again.

The price hike when cruise ships will be in town especially for the quality of hotel. But this is our second time around and would stay again.
Conveniently located close to cruise terminal which was the reason for our stay and the staff was warm and accommodating.

Nothing earth shattering but our fitted bed sheet didn't fit so it was an annoyance to keep readjusting but we didn't tell the staff but if we had they would have accommodated because they were son accommodating with everything else. The one thing I definitely did not like was our tub was rusted in the bottom. Should have reported it but again not something I couldn't live through and positive they would have accommodated. Still will stay here in the future.
We chose to stay at this hotel for the location being close to the Cruise terminal. It is conveniently located off the service road. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We were located on the 1st floor close to the dining lounge area and pool! LOVED IT! Even after I left the hotel I had Amazon packages that were showing up after I had left Griselda C. the Manager worked diligently with me to ensure I received my packages. The entire staff was super friendly. Really enjoyed the breakfast (the sausage :-)) and hot, hot coffee. This will be my location for Galveston stays moving forward!

It was fine for short term accommodations. Its a hotel not home. It was nice.
The staff were great even though they were dealing with some obnoxious vacationers. Very nice and gave helpful hints about Galveston.

The cost. But I guess people will pay to be close to the port on cruise days. I see you increased your prices around then. $119 a night is what I saw on non cruise days but $300+ on cruise departure days.
Breakfast was 👍. Location was in good proximity of the port.

the mattress on the sofa bed was disgusting. Wouldn’t let our son sleep on it, made a bed on the couch itself. not sure if it was urine or blood, or a mixture of both, but it was deemed the murder mattress and we had to find another way for our son to sleep. wallpaper was coming off too, and had a rotten corner in the shower
