Expensive on weekends during summer, as this is a weekend getaway for many. Low value for cost. Limited options on free breakfast compared to many other places. Book early and avoid weekends if possible.

It is a convenient, in-town location. Many food venues and shops within a short walk. Property and room were clean but not very modern. Staff were friendly.

Rooms were nice. Hotel seemed kinda quiet only saw the front desk twice. Their complementary bfast needs an overhaul but other than that. I definitely would stay there again

Close to restuarants and bfast place on the corner convenient to downtown hudson

The hotel is in need of renovation. The bathrooms need to be redone, caulking coming away and paint job on walls needed. Also, the TV was unplugged and the plug did not reach the outlet. lt was almost as if a power strip had been removed. The staff at the front desk was great at check-in, and then I never saw another staff person in the hotel again! There was no coffee or breakfast, and I think that it was supposed to be served. It was ok, because there are plenty of places nearby to grab breakfast. Aside from these things, it was a comfy stay!

Bed was really comfortable. The room was warm and quiet...great for sleep.

We were there for a wedding. The wedding started at 4:30 so when I booked I asked for early checking. When we arrived they told me no early check in we could possibly check in by 3:00. The ceremony started at 4:30. They finally checked us in at 3:15 which made us miss the shuttle bus but thank goodness the bride was late. I know the hotel was under construction but our room was still not completely finished and when you drove up to the hotel it looked like it was closed. We really thought we were at the wrong hotel. And there very rarely was anyone at the front desk. When we came back after the wedding the front door is open no one at the desk and there was a few homeless people across the street at the park. Not good when you come back later in the evening. Fortunately the little town was quite nice but I will not be coming back!

There usually was NOT anyone at the front desk. Ran out of coffee early everyday that I was in the breakfast area. No one there to get more coffee. Could not check/leave bags because no one was at the front desk.

Bed was great. Location was good. The guy at the front desk was kind and helpful. I want this property to succeed and will hopefully take my comments as hints.

The price was insanely high! For the type of hotel it was, that price was really a bit crazy. We faced the parking lot,. Your normal rates are 125-130 a night. We paid $300 a night!

The location was very good! We had a wedding that weekend and that worked out great! The room was adequate!

The shower had weak water pressure. We couldn’t leave our bags after check-out. We understand why not but many hotels offer this service. The breakfast was pretty bad. Almost all the food was packaged, think cereal and long-life pastries. Just some fresh bread for toast would have improved it. The cooked eggs and sausage were awful.

The hotel was clean and the beds comfortable. Not many places in Hudson had rooms with two beds so it suited us as a family. The location is good. We really liked the Thai restaurant nearby, and walking the Main Street from the hotel down to the river.

Good location right on Warren Street in the middle of Hudson. Room was a good size and beds were very comfortable, including nice pillows. Air conditioning on when we arrived, kept the room nice and cool. Bathroom very clean and the shower looked new, worked well. No frills hotel for sure but good for the price.

The hotel seems to be on the decline. The facade does not match the online photos and gives pause before staying. It was overpriced for the accommodations.

The hotel was conveniently located in downtown Hudson.

The room wasn't very clean. They were trying, but needs some more updating. Also a missed opportunity not to use the front of the hotel as the main entrance. Feels seedy going around to the side. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The updated bathroom was fantastic. Great shower.

Building old and a bit tired. Smoke and CO detector in the room was disabled. Breakfast was basic. Price on Booking was incorrect (too high) and the manager gave us the off season rate without our asking. So that was good (thank you) why was price wrong to begin with?

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was very quiet (except for housecleaning vacuuming at 8:30 am). Bathroom, shower and toiletries were updated and in good condition.

We were traveling during late winter/early spring, which I assume still counts as the off-season, so some of this may not apply in the summer. We arrived a little before the booking.com-stated check-in time of 3 PM, only to find no one at the desk and both of the posted contact numbers unhelpful (one temporarily disconnected, the other straight to a completely full voicemail box). We noticed that the desk sign actually said check-in started from 4 PM, so we decided to come back a bit closer to then, only to find a similar situation: unstaffed desk, strangely empty first floor. (We were at a loss and reached out to booking.com at this point, who said that none of their numbers were reaching anybody, either; because of this, they began their cancellation countdown on their end, though thankfully it didn't end up coming to that.) Finally, my partner decided to try one of the numbers on WhatsApp, which finally got us in touch with the manager, who was very apologetic for the delay and said that if we needed assistance, text or WhatsApp would be better ways to reach him. If you find yourself in this situation, try those methods! A late winter snow flurry prevented one of the housekeepers from making it in to set up breakfast one of the nights during our stay. The breakfast obviously wasn't the issue — we wouldn't want anyone putting their safety at risk just to put out some bagels, egg, and sausage — but we did find it a bit strange that guests were sort of left to figure this out on our own. (My partner reached out to the manager, who responded later that day, saying first that breakfast was only between certain morning hours before later explaining that the transportation issues had caused there to be no breakfast.) The hotel itself was perfectly comfortable, and I really appreciate the effort made to make common spaces clean and pleasant. We also found all our interactions with staff very pleasant when we were face-to-face.

Let's start with the positives. The room we were given, an upgrade from our original booking due to some initial difficulties (see below), was spacious and had everything we needed, including a small refrigerator and microwave, although we did have a bit of trouble getting the microwave to work. The location, at the head of a park on Warren Street, really puts you within walking distance of many of Hudson's attractions, and although we didn't come with a car ourselves, it looked like parking definitely wouldn't be a problem with the size of their parking lot. All of our staff interactions were very pleasant, with everyone (especially the manager) concerned about how they could be helpful, make our stay more enjoyable, etc. and everything felt clean and in good order. At least in our room, the earlier review comment about the window being screwed shut wasn't the case — we were able to have it open just a crack to get some fresh air — and the wifi was fast and easy to get onto. In the end, all our issues were resolved by staff to the best of their ability and value-oriented travelers can weigh the pros and cons for themselves.
