The issue with the Hotel St. Francis is what actually made it attractive to me. It was comfortable but had a vibe from the past. If you are looking for an ultra modern facility this is not your best bet. The fact you had to step up to enter the bathroom took some adjustment on our part. Don't get me wrong we had wi-fi and all but the drawing power of the Hotel St Francis is it's charm and feel of a stay in the past. The in house restaurant is also top notch and Café Pasqual is right across the street!

Great location and the staff was very helpful. The hotel had a lot of charm and the feel of a hotel from the 20's or 30's.

The service and ease of parking, The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were beautiful. Our room was charming, Being able to get coffee, tea and granola bars in the morning was appreciated. We had requested a room with a walk in shower and we were given one. The lobby with a fire in the fireplace in the afternoon was very cheery especially with the snow outside.

The carpeting in the room was laid over damaged flooring…you could feel the holes and cracks under your feet and the creaking was very distracting. Very disappointing as there seemed to be much care in the overall remodel of the facility.

The location is wonderful; blocks from the plaza. The lobby esthetics were lovely; lighting inviting; service personnel cordial. The room was a cozy corner with lots of windows. The bed was comfy with lovely sheets. The coffee service in the lobby in the morning was a nice surprise.

We love staying at the St. Francis when the rates are good. Wonderful staff, parking, accommodations. Some lights didn't work (but it is an old place!) but we were fine for one night.

Suggestion: the basin was in the main room, separate from bath; there was a light over it, but it was rather dim, which made putting on make-up, contact lens etc a bit challenging. A brighter light setting or a retractable make up mirror would help.

We changed our plane reservations for our New Mexico vacation and unexpectedly needed a hotel room in Santa Fe for one night. We chose the Hotel St. Francis and were very happy we did. The hotel is well located, a little over a block from the Santa Fe Plaza, in the heart of the retail and resturant area. We were able to check in an hour early and parked in the hotel lot next door (parking is included in the resort fee). We were checked in by the concierge, who was helpful and efficient. The hotel staff were all very friendly, and the lobby and rooms are elegant and distinctive, decorated in an understated Southwestern style. All in all, a great way to start our vacation - thank you, Hotel St. Francis !

    1) improve response time to guest’s request. 2) The air vent located on wall and not the ceiling or floor blows air straight onto the guest while in bed. Had to turn it off in the middle of the night and suffocate. 3) outside noise from tour buses and boom box base from car stereos was intolerable. Not the hotel’s fault but suggest that the hotelier business collectively vote and pass a noise free ordinance for “boom box base car stereos” within a six block radius of the plaza for the comfort of ALL visitors and residents.

History of the hotel was appreciated. Amazingly clean considering the hotel is pet friendly. Housekeeping was very attentive to our needs.
