This review is not really for the property but a PERSON on staff. I wish I had gotten her name but she (maybe the manager? She was a shorter white woman with reddish hair) graciously upgraded us to a bigger room without extra charge. It was more than what we could have asked for. And she thanked us to for being members. The reality is we are the ones who are thankful for folks like her who go above and beyond for guests. I wanted to make sure that she got her recognition!

Upon arrival we were given a room already in use, the room we were given as a replacement had dirty dishes and clothing tags on the floor so idk if it was vacuumed, the bedding for the pull out bed was missing so we had to ask for some, the pool was closed but was not stated on the website

Stayed 7 days and price was increased for Thursday, Friday & Sat due to MSU home game. Breakfast was not as great as usual, and had to go in the back to ask the attendant to bring out more items. First, she had to hang up the phone.

Website pictures showed a hot tub and there is NO hot tub. We booked this hotel with the sole premis of relaxing in the hot tub. Also, the original room we were given had the fire alarm going off, we were transferred to another room but staff did not call maintenance to resolve the issue!

The room smelled like pets. Our key cards stopped working at least 4 times. The room was rundown. The breakfast was terrible. The very few dishes in the room’s kitchen were dirty. There was no fan in the bathroom.

I request extra clean in my reservation because we are a family with asthma. The carpet was dirty and even the AC/heat unit was dirty with dust/dusty and little peaces of garbage inside the unit, appears that the unit and carpet have accumulate years of dust without good cleaning.

The bed will haunt my nightmares. Somehow it was both cardboard stiff AND sinking in the middle. It was like trying to sleep on one of those display bed models they showcase comforters on, but worse. I wound up sleeping on the sofa and my partner stayed on the bed. It worked for him as at least we didn't constantly keep each other awake every time we moved. The linens were incredibly thin, he would sleep on the bed and wake up smelling like dirty socks from sweating against the mattress even though he took a shower just before sleep. Separate from the bed, the dinner is something that should be re-evaluated - either put more of a budget towards it or stop offering it. The one night we tried it we got cold cuts (no bread), carrots, cucumbers, cheese and ranch (no salad?), and some really sus spinach artichoke dip with pita strips, as well as 2 types of potatoes. It felt like they'd meant to have an actual main entre but forgot to put it out.

Great staff, everyone was friendly and helpful at every turn. The place was clean and in general good repair, though the room was showing its age in many places and I imaging in a few years this comment will not age well. It was a good location, decently oriented to State (which is where we had to go every day). They had an amazing deli (StateSide) next door in the strip mall that was a good deal and tasty. Breakfast was a step above continental and helped to make the booking a good value.
