How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe bed was comfortable and it was very quiet at night despite the hotel being full. The pool was wonderful and there is lots of space to relax outdoors and indoors. The breakfast had many options and was well managed.
Change the direction of the gym equipment to face the television, door, and mirror.

Verified reviewEverything went well. The check-in process was quick and easy. Our room and bathroom were clean, and the kitchen area was fully equipped. Within walking distance are a supermarket, a beer and wine store, a movie theater, an ice cream store, two good quality restaurants, a bank/credit union with ATM, and under construction is a breakfast/brunch lunch restaurant.
There was a small table missing from the balcony. It was not replaced after I made note of it missing to the staff. I bought a small one from Walmart to use while we were at the hotel.

Verified reviewThe hotel was very nice. The only staff we conferred with was the front desk. We were only there 2 nights. The room was nice and clean. There were also no toiletries like caps for the hair, however, the supply of Dove soaps and shampoos were awesome (the only soap I use). Because of the weather, we didn't get the opportunity to use the pool, however, my friend used the gym and was happy with it.
The breakfast room had good choices, just wish it was extended longer than 9:30, for those of us who like to sleep in when on vacation. Our patio didn't have a screen, and the security bar did not work. First hotel I have ever been to that did not have a safe in the room. THESE ARE MORE OBSERVATIONS THAN COMPLAINTS.

Verified reviewStaybridge suites was a very nice hotel. The hotel was spotless. Rachelle at the front desk was very nice and informative. Monday -Wednesday at 5:30-7pm they had a happy hour soda, juice and about 3 appetizers changes every 3 nights. Breakfast was good more than the basic continental yogurt, fruit, granola, nuts, bagels, muffins, sconces, pancakes, waffles, hot oatmeal, eggs, sausage etc. Didn't get to use the pool since it was raining thanks hurricane Erin !!! Went to gym basically equipment. Went to Fort Miles Museum highly recommend and went to visit Rehoboth beach and boardwalk. Sad that they canceled our sunset cruise at night but you can't predict the weather Rachelle at the front desk was very nice and informative

The way my reservation was handled by front desk staff irritated me. The day before my trip, management threatened to cancel my reservation if I didn't provide a secondary credit card to hold my room, and claimed the first card declined over insufficient balance. The truth was, I had paid for the room in full through Booking, and they did not understand the operations of their own reservation system and how it worked with Booking. They went out of their way to make me feel as if I wasn't worthy enough to stay there because I had a declined card, when they just didn't understand their own job. I relented and provided them a second card, they charged me twice. I took screenshots and presented everything when I arrived. Then I stood at a counter while staff scrambled to fix everything they knew they did wrong without really addressing me. I was given an apology for the wait, but no real apology for the way I was handled. Then I was asked what floor I would like to stay on... When I suggested one with a balcony(just to suggest I should get some sort of upgrade for the trouble) I was scoffed at and flatly told I would not get that. Gee thanks.

The room carpet should've been vacuumed a bit better. The water pressure was a little low on one day.
