The pool was very hot and crowded. There wasn’t access to outside air from the pool area. There weren’t things to do at nighttime around the hotel.

The neighborhood has gotten much louder and brighter over the last couple of years. It was kinda hard to actually get to sleep.

Breakfast was a letdown. If you have any dietary restrictions—gluten or dairy especially—don’t expect to find much, if anything, you can eat. No alternatives were offered, which feels like an oversight in 2025. And the coffee? Easily among the worst I’ve had in recent memory.

The best thing about the Embassy Suites in downtown St. Louis is the location. It’s right around the corner from the convention center, which makes it a convenient pick for business travelers or anyone attending events nearby. The hotel itself is nice. Rooms are spacious, and it feels like there’s plenty of room to breathe, especially compared to more cramped city options. That said, housekeeping could use improvement. The cleanliness left to be desired.

We didn’t like that we didn’t have housekeeping to clean our room, and the pool water was freezing and smelled way way way too much like chlorine to the point where kids were coughing too much that everyone started leaving. There wasn’t any towels at the pool and we had to walk to our room cold and dripping, my daughter developed a cough due to the chlorine smell which was gone within a few days, but it is dangerous to have such high levels of chlorine that kids and adults start coughing from the strong smell. Maybe cleaning it more often rather than having high concentrations of chlorine and chemicals is best.

We loved the daily breakfast it was so yummy and with a lot of options.

Two things that stood out. We returned to our rooms at 9pm after our event and wanted something to eat and went to the restaurant to order food to be disappointed that they were understaffed in the kitchen and that orders were taking really long. And then Breakfast the next morning was very slow and a big line for the buffet line that made it challenging to enjoy breakfast.

Loved the size of the room and how it was laid out. Very clean and comfortable.

The fire alarm went off and not one employee addressed the situation. So we were running in and out trying to figure out what the issue was. Very unprofessional and scary with the alarm going off without an explanation

Only parking available was 47 bucks a night and it was valet service but I left stuff in car 2 times and needed it out had no idea where my car was and didn't have much car to get stuff out so it was not for me. But service was excellent

The pool was extremely overly chemicaled and my son now has an upper respiratory infection. It was not properly vented and several others were coughing really bad. It was so bad you could smell it all through the hall.
