Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesA lot of stairs but worth it.
Excellent location in the historical area. Locked gate to parking facilities made me feel secure for my vehicle. Quiet and comfortable accommodations with old school charm. Immaculately clean in all areas. Loved the bed and natural light.

United StatesBecause the house is an older one the stairs to get to the room were a little confusing, That actually just added to the charm.
Did not get breakfast at the inn. What we liked was that the rooms were very comfortable and the inn was so much better than an institutional hotel space. We had great communications with the proprietor and they were able to accommodate parking for our moving truck (a 15' box truck).

United StatesWe loved everything about our stay: the aesthetic and size of the room, how clean it was, how easy parking was and accessing the room, etc. There is no staff on site but that was not an issue for us. The room was well stocked with towels and the communication about the reservation and access was straightforward. We stayed in the Tipton room, which was only a slight upgrade from a standard room but well worth it has a secondary lounge area which is very cozy. The Inn was also very close to the Ohio City restaurant/shopping district which was a huge plus. Would definitely recommend Hecks and TownHall. It was our second time staying at the Stone Gables Inn and we will definitely be staying again!

United StatesWe really had no complaints about it. The one thing I would advise anyone staying there - as I would anyone staying in an American inner city especially - is to keep your head about you if you walk around the neighborhood; while Ohio City is mostly upscale - and there are a lot of beautiful, historic homes in the immediate vicinity - there were some unsavory characters milling about the adjacent park and on some of the smaller side-streets. Again, not a knock against the property at all, but more of a 'be watchful in an urban environment' thing.
Absolutely a terrific historic, clean, decorative B&B in a historic neighborhood also close to downtown Cleveland. We stayed in the Franklin Room (3rd floor), and it for sure suited our needs: 1 bed for my wife and I (also in a separate room -- yay!), a bed for our teenage daughter and a convertible sofa bed for our pre-teen son. All the beds were comfortable We enjoyed checking out the various rooms, spacious kitchen, the front parlor, etc. We also walked to a donut shop next morning which was 10 minutes on foot; got to explore the historic neighborhood of Ohio City. We would stay there again, but my wife and I agreed that we'd like to do it just the two of us (it was more of a romantic setting than what we would normally do with our kids -- but they nonetheless enjoyed it too!), Also, a gated parking lot in the back of the property was a huge plus.

United StatesI have a suggestion for those of us that don’t drink coffee. Can you offer a black tea, green tea and one herbal?
There is no food service but a complete kitchen for any one to use. Beautiful old home in West side of Cleveland. Gated parking for guests. Most comfortable bed I have slept on in any hotel! Great location close to shops, restaurants and easy access to downtown Cleveland. Very safe and highly recommend for solo travelers.

United StatesI wish they had staff on-site and the walls are a little thin. Every sound makes its way through the doors. Just the TV at low volume can be heard in the hallway.
Beautiful, historic, place. Nice area of town. Room was very cozy and the bedding was very comfortable. Big, beautiful, windows in the room and a nice view to the outside. Overall, very good presentation. No staff on-site, but all the info you need is texted to you and is accurate. Private parking is a cool feature, as well.

United StatesThe Tipton room could use a small table and chair in what is the TV/couch area. This was a business trip hence it would have been practical to have a table to work off. The WiFi did work for my phone but I could not connect the laptop to it. The Spectrum TV was hard to navigate.
Lovely accommodations. Clean and comfortable. Instructions to access the property and bedroom was perfect. Parking was easy to find. The bed was very comfortable. Ohio City is a lovely neighborhood which has many excellent restaurants to choose from.
