Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI did not like that I shared a balcony. I had kids running outside my slider glass door. The slider glass door did not lock even after calling for maintenance the door locked that night the next day it would not work. I had the kids parents outside my sliding glass door looking in my room while i was walking in the room trying to get dressed. It was uncomfortable and surprising to see I had to shut the curtains not enjoying the view or daylight. At night the kids and parents were talking and laughing loud until 12 midnight. I had a hard time getting a good night sleep and was annoyed. Waking up my door would not lock and was not feeling safe. There should be a bar to lock the sliding glass door so I can sleep safe and not worry waking up to having a unsafe incidence. I watch the news and being safe with locking my doors is important and cautious. My patient went here and told me the story of the same story that she had encountered. That was the only problem that I disliked.
I loved my room location, great spot. The food was excellent and service was good. Staff was friendly and professional.

United States of AmericaFridge didn’t work, which is a first for me staying in a resort for this amount of money. It’s a waist of food and my growing boys are always hungry. We called to have it fixed, but it still didn’t work. I also was never offered slippers at the spa. When I asked for a pair, it was ones I could not get wet in the shower. The showers had a bunch of hair, shampoo on the floor and old razors in several of the shower stalls. Even after staff had walked through to what I assume is to “clean”. I get that both of things can occur, but at this price point I expect more.
Resort was beautiful. Mountain, rooms, shops, restaurants, skiing, heated outdoor pool. Friendly staff

United States of AmericaI'd skip Alpine Hall altogether, average food at luxury price. Tipsy Trout was much better overall, especially the duck and the sticky toffee pudding.
Staff and facilities were wonderful. Beautiful location.

United States of AmericaWe loved the bar but not impressed by the food choices. But the restaurant scene in Stowe makes eating at the Lodge unnecessary.
We have stayed here before to ski but never in the fall. It was a fantastic location to spend a special anniversary weekend. Just beautiful surroundings. The Lodge is worthy of the five star designation. It is pricey but for us it was worth it this trip.

United States of AmericaBreakfast is poor for this hotel category. Room is very nice with comfortable beds. Reservation was for a room for three people. The room was prepared for two people. It took more than an hour and two complaints to receive the missing glass, cup, and towels. The third robe was not provided.

The property was stunning! We loved the indoor/outdoor heated pool for the cool fall weather and the community gas fire pit versus wood burning which cause your clothes to smell.

United KingdomAs a location for skiing I am sure its perfect but if you want to go and eat anywhere other than the Restaurant, which is overpriced, you have to drive and that is not something as a European I want to do. Yes I know Americans drive everywhere. Also, unless you come by an expensive coach transfer, you will arrive by car and have to pay an additional $45 per day to park which on top of the room price is extortionate.
Lovely mountain location and nice rooms.
