Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe lighting in the room is so bright each bulb was like having a spotlight in your head. Had to he 200 watts. The room was noisy could hear neighbors tv and the bat noise. The WiFi was spotty. No service to bring drinks or food onto the decks.
The view from the room was beautiful. The staff was kind. The room was clean. The outdoor decks were beautiful to sit at. The drinks and bar selection was good.

United StatesWe never could get the TV to work, but had tablets so that was ok. The shower curtain was too long so it was bunched up which wasn't too pleasant while showering.
We were attending an event at Pinecrest so the location was great. We ate at the restaurant twice and enjoyed both meals, a pizza for lunch and breakfast burrito. It's a very rustic, no frills place, but clean.

United StatesThe bed was not very comfortable. It was just OK. For a one night stay it was OK. We booked last minute. In the restaurant, more attention was given to known locals watching a game.
Convenient location. Close to Pinecrest Lake. Rooms were clean very simple.

United StatesNo wifi, sign at the check in said “WiFi- Hotspot”, no password so it seemed straight forward enough. However, either that was missing information or it was improperly configured. When you connect it asked for an IT admin email and password instead of a typical hotspot where you just accept on the splash page and move onto the internet. I was on a business trip and planned had a lot of work to do in the quiet hotel room with no distractions. Without WiFi, I was stuck. Cell signal up the mountain was spotty at best, so I couldn’t use that connection either. Went downstairs to ask the ladies at the bar/check in counter about it, but it was locked up and empty despite being told it was staying open late…but I get it: small mountain resort town, off season, Sunday, pretty sure I was the only guest at the hotel.
Staff was very pleasant. Bed was comfortable. Surrounding area was gorgeous.

United StatesThe owner was NOT helpful with an early checkin request. She was downright rude and made sure we were charged extra for an hour early check in. We were in a bind to attend a wedding at the same time as check in and really didn't want to do a late check in after wedding, as it didn't look like anyone would be around to give us a key. She could have at least checked with housekeeping, as they were done early anyway and there was no expense for them to check us in early. Just a weird experience and poor customer service by the Owner. Staff on the other hand were helpful and friendly.
Good breakfast, though not included. Very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The setting is beautiful and the place has potential.

AustraliaOur room was right underneath the bathroom for the restaurant/bar, and until 1am we were woken every time someone used the bathroom. There was a used bandaid in the shower and the coffee pot hadn’t been emptied. The customer service at the restaurant was terrible. The main lady who checked us in couldn’t take my dinner order as she “had to go”, but then stood there cashing out her till for 15 minutes while I waited with my daughter. Her replacement couldn’t use the system until she was done, so she went off to serve drinks! Another woman waited (completely ignored) with a question about true food she had collected. It would have taken 2 minutes for the waitress to take our order before cashing out, or written it down for the kitchen and we pay later when the till was ready, rather than us just standing there for 20mins.
The location is lovely, right on the river. The food at the restaurant was excellent, despite service issues mentioned below. The room was big, but only had Venetian blinds so not great for sleeping after sunrise.

United StatesOn Friday and Saturday nights, local crowds are partying at the bar well past midnight, while their kids are running around the hotel yelling and playing some kind of war games. You might want to be a part of it, because if you are not... well, you are not getting any sleep anyway ) Also, beware of the slow breakfast service. We had to wait for our order for almost an hour and barely made it to our morning ski lessons at Dodge Ridge. If you have any kind of a time limit, stay away from Strawberry Inn kitchen in the morning )
Strawberry Inn is just 5-10 minutes drive from the Dodge Ridge ski resort, so that is the closes accommodation there is. The exterior and exterior of the hotel and bar are all very authentic, the stuff and the local crowd at the bar are always friendly

United StatesThis place has always been shabby but it used to be clean. It wasn’t clean this time. The bed had hair in it. The floor was dirty. They served coffee in styrofoam cups rather than mugs. It has really gone down hill and definitely not worth the price. It should be $100 a night. Motel level.
The staff were great. The two bartenders were just wonderful. I loved that our kids could play on the property in the snow.
