We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesFitted sheets came off during the night as they did not properly fit the mattress. Towels and washcloths looked soiled like they've never been washed in soap! I don't think the floors have been mopped properly because our socks were black The bathroom door was difficult to close because it didn't fit properly Bathtub did not look like been cleaned properly. The experience was so upsetting for those few days where we had a family reunion and we had no other place to stay. But I canceled our next motel 6 on our journey back home to California.

United StatesThey require a deposit even with credit card purchase. They physically checked the room before we could get deposit back. Ridiculously soft bed Toilet seat ready to fall off Only one towel was in the room. Very poor lighting in room. Many lights did not work at all Amenities were poor. Coffee pot missing. No comp shampoo or conditioner or hand lotion. Walls are paper thin. We heard too much noise from adjoining rooms.

They told me the were having problems getting the money from booking.com for the room and that i had to call customer service. They then kicked me off the property after i protested saying that was an issue between them and booking.com. The problems started immediately at entering and trying to book a room in person, when I declared my dog. My $65 dollar pet fee was refunded

United StatesThe “assistant manager” with purple hair and a purple crescent moon on her forehead was never able to check me into the room i reserved on booking. she wanted me to call booking support and it ended in her yelling at both the customer service representative and i. she had no clear answers or solutions for problems that her hotel commonly had. she said this was a reoccurring issue but couldn’t even provide the phone number for booking support. i’ve never seen someone so miserable in customer service and i hope no other customers have to experience what my friends and i did! that was my first and last time in that building, save your time and spend the same amount at econolodge down the road!

United StatesI booked this room via Booking.com. After booking, I called the hotel to ensure the room was available and that my reservation was complete. I was assured they had the room, reservation and all was good to go. Weeks later, and less than two weeks from the date of the reservation, I was called by the hotel that they "overbooked" and I don't have a room. No other explanation was given. I explained that I booked, called to confirm, had email confirmations, etc. Again, I was simply told they "overbooked" and I was out of luck. I called Booking.com. The lady told me she would call them and call me back. She said she called, but they didn't answer. So, she said she would keep trying and they would call me within two days to give me a reason and resolution. She said if they can't get my room, they would find another and pay the difference if the cost was not same/more. I NEVER heard back from anyone again. I will never use Booking.com again, and will tell others to avoid. Furthermore, I will never use that hotel/motel - and will leave a bad review and tell others to avoid.
