Dated bathrooms, small room, no privacy blinds on picture window overlooking parking lot. You had to turn on glaring overhead light to make coffee, disturbing slumbering mate. High priced for mediocre experience.

The only thing we didn't love was that there was no refrigerator in the room. We brought some food from home to snack on and a lot of it went bad and had to be thrown away.

For starters, my husband and I LOVED that we found an adults only place. It was so peaceful hanging out in the beautiful garden area watching the Koi fish. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We haven't stayed anywhere that breakfast was included for years and it was such a nice way to save money and time getting our day started. The inn is maybe a ten/fifteen minute walk to the downtown area and beach, which we didn't mind at all because the flowers and Victorian homes lining the streets were beautiful to look at.

For some rooms the busy road might have been a problem. Our room (#42, in the back) was quiet, probably due to the lush landscaping.

We arrived about 8:30 PM and the person at the front desk was very welcoming and recommended a couple of places nearby where we could find supper at that hour. We were a little confused about where our room was because it was actually behind the main property. To be honest, we were blown away with how pretty the grounds were--complete with mulched paths leading to a koi pond with waterfall and seating--so serene! We also didn't realize we were getting a suite: the bedroom and bath were tops, super lovely and comfortable (more like a B&B feel) with an adjacent room with TV to relax in that led to an individual patio with chairs. They offered different times for breakfast and selections to choose from that were prepared to order and tasty.

We have stayed here multiple times. At check in, I asked if we could have a room with 2 beds instead of the king I reserved— it was switched, no problem! Breakfast is delicious; we love sitting back by the koi pond. Comfy room and beds, plenty of hot water. We like having a mini fridge in room.

The bathroom being retro was very cute, but the toilet was more for a child so low. The shower very small and no light inside. My husband thought the bed was very uncomfortable.

We'll definitely be going back to Summer's Inn. The room was spotless, clean, very quiet, large and comfortable. The breakfasts, as other reviewers have noted, are delicious. You have 3 choices (a quiche of the day with fresh fruit salad and locally sourced toast and jam -- or yogurt with granola, fresh fruit, and toast and jam, or a third choice, which I think might have been vegan and gluten free), and you choose ahead of time as well as choosing a time slot so that you arrive at a time which is convenient for you, your breakfast is ready, and the breakfast room isn't crowded. You're served by a very friendly and helpful waiter, and unlike at local chains, you eat off of real plates and silverware, and you can choose a mug too, if you like. Besides the breakfast and nice room, take a walk out to sit by the koi pond behind the motel, where there are trees and beautiful landscaping, including lily pads. The koi are very interactive with you, which is amusing, or you can sit still and just enjoy the peace. The owners have gone out of their way to make the place attractive and welcoming -- covered seating areas in multiple locations, a reading room with couches and comfortable furniture, that beautiful back garden areas. This was a lovely place to stay. We were very happy there, and we'll be back.

I wish there had been some sort of lighting in the shower. It was very dark.

This place exceeded my expectations. The garden was a beautiful place to spend the afternoon. The made to order breakfast was very tasty, and we enjoyed it every morning. It is an older motel that has been nicely remodeled. Despite the fact that doors face the parking lot, we didn't have any noise issues. They staff were all very friendly and helpful. It's probably about a 20-40 minute walk from the main part of town, but we less than a 10 minute drive to get anywhere you want to go.

A sign to encourage quiet voices in the garden would be useful. Some guests were being loud outside in the garden early in the morning either on their phones or talking to one another without consideration for peace and quiet of others who were still sleeping or just enjoying the soft sounds of birds and wind.

Several spaces for relaxing inside and outside for both rain and shine days. Thoughtful breakfast options, very tasty. Kind and accommodating staff!

You should be aware that there is no refrigerator or microwave in the rooms so prepare accordingly.

The place is family run and all the staff are wonderful!. It is peaceful and convenient. the koi pond is beautiful and the little library is a gem. Breakfast was homey and hit the spot. Enjoy!
