We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe only issue is that we were on the 4th floor with no elevator. It was fine but we were with my older MIL and the stairs were tough for her. I would definitely stay again, I would just make sure we were on a bottom floor or had elevator access.
The property was wonderful. Bright and clean with everything you need for a family.

IsraelFourth floor and no elevator - for those who carry heavy suitcases. The neighborhood is still in process of change. Some of it is new and appealing, some is still less (including the local population).
The apartment itself is great. Clean, very well maintained, good response from the hosts. No complaints what so ever.

United KingdomIt was a shame there was no elevator in the property, walking up 5 stories was quite a workout! Also, just a note, the glass dining table wasn’t fixed to its base and we felt it was a little unsafe.
The location was great, views of New York and easy access via the PATH train. Hoboken itself it’s a lovely town with loads of great places to eat and shop. Apartment was spacious, very comfortable and had lovely views too, with being on the top floor. Comfy beds and everything needed to feel at home.

United KingdomAs others have said, there were 5 or so people constantly hanging around outside the property. They sometimes made noise quite late at night, which wouldn't have suited young kids. They didn't cause any trouble other than the noise. The blinds on the bedroom windows weren't that good at blacking out the light. We were staying in the winter so it didn't trouble us, but I can imagine in summer when it gets light at 5AM it might be a pain. Twin beds in the non-master bedroom would be more useful for families i think. The sofa bed was useful and as comfortable as could be expected.
The apartment (we had the third floor) was clean, comfortable and all the appliances we used worked fine. The bedrooms were large and had plenty storage. Towels, bedding, shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet roll and lots more were provided. Besides food, we didn't have to get anything. The kitchen was well appointed too. A pod coffee machine was there, with a full carousel of pods, which was a nice touch. Andrew met us at the property and helped us settle in. He was very friendly and helpful. Although we obviously had to commute to NYC, it wasn't too onerous and the significant saving over a hotel in Manhattan more than made up for it. The train/ferry to Manhattan were about 20 mins walk away. The train took 15 mins to midtown for around $3 per trip. Subway was $34 for a weekly pass.

United StatesA little noisy on the street until about 11 pm, but we slept well anyway.
Hershel was very kind when our arrival time was delayed. He met us at the apartment and gave us a tour and information about accessing public transportation. The place was very large, clean, simply decorated. It was not far from a bus line (three blocks) and the PATH (10-12 blocks) that allowed us to pop over to Manhattan many times during our stay.

United KingdomThe area of the property is not great. Noisy outside the property every night.. A lot of commuting involved if you came to visit and see New York. Hardly a problem if you've come to visit New Jersey. No lift and the flat is on the 5th floor.
Really nice apartment, spacious and comfortable, same as the bedrooms. Modem styling, very clean. Good security. Meet Lucas on first handover, nice guy and made everything easy. He was patient about our late arrival. Amenities and fast food shops nearby when needed. We loved staying in the fantastic apartment itself.

United StatesRowdy groups who congregated in front of the property were at first intimidating to pass; however, we were safe and fine.
We appreciated the property's proximity to both the light rail station and Hoboken terminal where we could catch the ferry, bus, or train. The two mini marts on the block were helpful for essentials like water. All the esssentials--everything you can think of--was thoughtfully provided.

United StatesI recently had the pleasure of staying at Sun Kissed / Harmony Apartment in New Jersey, and it was a unique experience. The apartment is fantastic, offering all the amenities one could ask for for a family stay. The location is superb, providing easy access to New York City, just a short commute away. Hooboke is a safe neighborhood, and I felt safe walking late at night to get a pizza from the nearby corner shop. The convenience of having everything I needed within reach made my stay even more enjoyable. I will book again. The communication with the hosts and the check-in process were excellent.

United StatesWe weren't given any info on the patio
newly renovated, a lot of natural sunlight, beautifully furnished, comfortable beds, a lot of room and we had seven people! Has a stackable w/dryer too. Pull out bed was also comfy. A lot of good communication with the property owners; met us at the door and walked us through the condo We're from Florida; so we enjoyed the five floor walk up...we don't see that down here. Got a lot of exercise by just coming and going! It's a 15 minute walk to Washington Street. We saw people out walking everywhere. Many locally owned stores in the same building; three mini marts, nail salon, chinese and a great pizzza place- Lorenzos. The water was lukewarm; but once we adjusted the water heater temperature; it was fine. we didnt use the patio. A lot of locals hang out downstairs but everyone we met were nice and helpful. we obviously looked like tourists! It was definitely a lively neighborhood. This isnt the suburbs and we didn't expect it to be!

United States4 story walk-up. That was a surprise. Be sure to get parking details before booking. No ice. A $2 ice cube tray in the freezer would nice. Thermostat was locked. Temp in MBR was bone chilling cold and we couldn’t control it. Shady neighborhood. Published info not transparent. Fix the kitchen faucet. Sofa bed is inoperable. Stained bedsheets.

United KingdomProperty was on the FOURTH FLOOR with NO elevator. This was not mentioned ANYWHERE in the property description or when we booked the property. We had a lot of luggage which had to be carried up all the way to 4th floor which was terribly inconvenient to say the least. When we tried to contact the property manager there was absolutely no response and repeated requests to call back fell on deaf ears. The property itself is in a very shady area with lots of black people using drugs in front of the property throughout the entire night with loud music and noises. This was on every single night of our stay and was relentless with little or no sleep for us. Thoroughly disappointed and let down. We will not be booking here again.
Clean and modern with all the facilities needed

CanadaDidn’t like the fact that the kitchen was poorly stocked (no pans or pots to speak of). Would be difficult to prepare a meal. Didn’t like the noise from a group of men who loiter at the entrance of the little store nearby : they shout and play loud music until quite late (11pm). This was an issue for me as 2 of the bedrooms face the street. My husband witnessed a fight in broad daylight.
Spacious property and comfortable beds. Lots of light throughout.

IsraelWe looked forward to enjoying family time and dinners together but none of us was prepared to drag food and drinks up 5-storey walk up – 72 narrow steps never mentioned in the description. Fortunately, the person from Harmony who brought us the keys dragged the suitcases upstairs. The beds were comfortable but the sofa bed in the living room does not lay flat; seems to be broken near the head of the bed. The kitchen lacked: a dish towel or two, a dish rag, a serving bowl, a mixing bowl, wine glasses, an oven pan (after nearly a week a few of these items were supplied) The toaster didn’t work (replaced after 3 days) According to Harmony: ”Help yourself to the water bottles in the refrigerator. You may drink water from the sink (it is clean and safe), but we also provide a Brita water filter in the refrigerator.”” “But, there was NO bottled water in the fridge There was NO Brita water filter in the fridge and the water in Hoboken is highly chlorinated so we had to bring gallon bottles for water up everyday The shower gel bottles and the hand soap bottles in the bathrooms were FILLED WITH WATER The neighborhood got very noisy at night, even in November, it was so noisy we couldn’t sleep until it quieted down, after midnight Worst of all was the fact that Harmony did not let on that the apartment is a on the 5th floor in a building without an elevator.
The apartment is spacious and nicely designed.
