The table was broke and we couldn’t use it at all. The lamp was busted as well . No regular coffee packets. No lotion bottle. Room 235.

I liked the view out our balcony. I liked the bed and pillows. Very clean.

They advertised pool and hot tub sauna and didn’t have either. Well they had but no water in pool. Also one of the rooms air did not work and we had no clean towels or washcloths until next morning. All the 4 rooms I rented were not available at 4:00. We waited a few hrs.

Tons of bugs and spiders everywhere. Listing is very deceiving with room descriptions, and needs to be clear about which side of the property you’ll be staying in(one part is remodeled, the other is very outdated and disgusting). Also, the pool has been drained so that amenity is no longer offered. The swings overlooking the water are coming apart, not safe for children.

The location is amazing. Being able to look outside and enjoy the view of Lake Huron and the Mackinac Bridge is the best part of the stay. There are also fire pits outside.

Small and outdated don’t bother me, especially when I didn’t spend most of my time in the room. However, it was simply not cleaned well. The bathroom had rogue hair in the shower and on the toilet. The air conditioner unit has not been cleaned or dusted maybe ever - it was incredibly dirty and had a few spiders in it. And while the top sheet and pillowcases were good, the mattress pad underneath had multiple dark spots that looked like mold, and the top comforter had a few questionable stains.

The location is great, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

One of the rooms, room 3, had not been renovated. The bathroom had mold, the shower was small and moldy, mold on the ceiling. It was small and dark. The pool had murky water. No one could swim in the pool. We asked them to change rooms but they said they didn't have another room.

The motel has some renovations which were nice, but, not all of room renovated yet. If you are a clean freak this is not the motel for you. If you like the feel of camping you'll be ok. Dead bugs inside slider track, windows very dirty looking out at bay, patio furniture cobwebs, comforters had stains, floors dirty -wear slippers or shoes. Furniture was in poor shape and chairs stained. Slider door had no lock, except for a metal bar that was broken, we would've changed room, if we weren't on second floor. Beware, Lots of poo as you walk out to beach. Didn't use pool, so can't comment.

The view and sound of waves were awesome if you can get past some issues... The Positive, The desk clerks were friendly, the sheets were clean and fridge worked! Some new renovations of floor and walls.

Plumbing issues with the toilet. There are serious maintenance issues- toilet, screen door, shower. It could use an update .

The location was good. Beautiful view of the lake right off the deck with a private beach area. You can see the Mackinaw bridge from there.

Scheduled to stay one place and they put me somewhere else. There was no beach access other than some drainage pipes and muck (the smell was not pleasant). The pools were less than desirable and felt dirty just standing by them. The manager had a dog that freely pooped in the picnic area, that was ugly!. I most definitely would not recommend or return.

The room needs a complete renovation. But the room was very inexpensive. I was told that about half the of the rooms were already remodeled. The TV did not work. It was about 10pm when I called but nobody was available to fix the TV. Breakfast was not included.

I thought I reserved a ground floor room, but was put on 2nd floor. Made it very difficult to carry luggage. Balcony was not in real nice condition, mismatched plastic chairs, could use a touch up on the paint.

BED BUGS!!!!! when we brought this to the attention of management, they completely dismissed our concerns. asked for a refund and said it was company policy not to give those out after 3 hours of being there. this property is owned by the family that owns about 80% of mackinaw city. known for scams (bait and switch tactics masked as a “courtesy”) and run-down hotels and motels.

There was no breakfast, the wifi was non existent and the pool was closed. We chose this motel for the pool. They moved us to a run down motel next door.

Smelled bad. We had to go by Fabreeze to try to odorize the room. The shower would not drain. Had to buy a crate to stand on so we did not have to stand in 2 inches of nasty water. If this room was cleaned, they would have noticed the shower drain and the smell. When we were dropping off the key, there were other people waiting to complain to management. Will not stay here again or recommend to anyone. Their business model is to collect as much money as possible and not put in any effort because of its location.

The room was not what was listed on the website it showed the bathroom to have a tub and shower I had a very small shower barely room to turn around drain was falling off there were cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling someone killed a bug on the door and no one cleaned it off before we arrived. The only way to see the garden view was to step outside and look to the left. Otherwise, we had a view of the parking lot. The pool was green looking, and dead bugs floating around could have been cleaned better. The website is very misleading. The photos listed were nothing like my room. Was very disappointed when I opened the door and saw it was not what I thought it was.

BEDBUGS!!! Upon ck in, asked if we wanted to upgrade, declined but now I realize that it may have been code for BEDBUGS!! After hours contact # was left on office door, called and were given new room at an alternate hotel at 230am. A much better hotel.

DUCKS!!!! They were only there in the morning but were quite aggressive and pooped on the grass. But after all we are visiting their home so we worked around it

Carpeting was sticky and gross. Holes around the air conditioner that went all the way through the wall. Peeling paint - loose drain in shower, uncomfortable bed. Noisy- dirty - pictures were deceptive on booking.com - pools were closed - sidewalks were unlevel. Will contact the chamber of commerce regarding this property.
