Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe air conditioner motor was noisy as the motor cut in and out with the thermostat control. Laundry facilities in the town but really cheap $1.50 per load. .No coffee machine in the room but coffee provided in the morning in reception. We missed the croissant breakfast.
Pam was friendly. Registration expedient. The location is convenient for our travels. The rooms dated but the themes were fun. We had the Hippy Room with posters and paint to match. The lava lamp was a nice touch. The bed was super comfortable and lovely hot water. Fridge and microwave.

United StatesThe only problem with this place is its location. It is 52 miles to the nearest restaurant so we ate at the gas station. Not excellent. However, we found out the next day that there is a grocery store with a deli only 9 miles north. Its food was good.
Room was on the small side, but clean and well appointed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fee coffee is available from 4:30 am. Lot's of channels via dish network.

NorwayThe only thing was that the water machine was only giving hot water, so we couldn’t refill our water bottles, but that’s a very minor thing.
If you’re in the area, you should stay there. Every room is themed, and we got the alien room, which was perfect. You can see that they put a lot of effort in decorating the rooms. The room was comfortable, easy parking, hot coffee in the morning, no complains!

United StatesCouldn't have been more pleased staying at the Sunset Inn. I highly recommend, and will definitely plan to stay again.
Very clean, comfortable place to stay. Great beds, friendly, helpful staff, and interesting, tasteful decor. Owner and staff clearly take pride in their establishment and in making their guests feel welcome.

CanadaThe motel is located where no others are. The motel is quirky with theme decorated rooms. The description is accurate. No breakfast other than coffee and pop tarts. Extremely limited choices close by for dinner. Close to wildlife preserve - great place to walk near by at sunset and to have a dinner picnic.

United StatesThis hotel was built in the 70's and has had some minor renovations. The 'themed' rooms were unique. Alamo is a town of 1400 people with no restaurant, so you need to be prepared! We were heading North thru Nevada and wanted to get farther up Hwy 93 from Las Vegas, but couldn't make it all the way to Ely. It was OK for a one-night place to sleep.

CanadaA bit disappointed that we could not see the sunset from our room. I did go out and took a picture at sunset...still pretty.
The bed was very comfy and we loved the creative decorations of the room. It is an older building, but tge rooms have been renovated and tastefully decorated and maintained. We also liked the table with 2 chairs to have a snack or play a game. It was very quiet with no traffic noise.

United StatesNone really -- it is what it is.
We've stayed here a few times -- Not a lot of options in and around Alamo, -- the location is "as advertised" -- nothing fancy, but clean and safe, and right where we need to be while visiting our son in nearby Hiko. Fun things to do in the area, the staff is helpful and courteous, and the "themed" rooms may seem a bit whacky but does add a smile to our face while staying here. No complaints at all.
