Too close to the Fair grounds. The sprinkler system failed while we there. No help to get out of the building for guest was offered while the fire alarm was going off.

Our room was on the lower level and very humid and musty smelling. The bathroom door had been replaced with a barn door style that left a gap when closed so you could see right in. No lock either. I tried the treadmill and it was so noisy I couldn't use it.

The room that was originally signed to me hadn't been cleaned. There was stuff all over the floors and bathroom.

After I showed the front desk what the room looked like that I was originally assigned to me. They didn't even hesitate and assigned me a different room.

We had also stayed Jan. 28 and 29th at the Baymont. My husband had forgotten his red Swiss Army Knife in our room. Once home he called and was told it had been found. He was so relieved since he'd had it for many years. The woman said she would put it away for him and next time we came to Rochester he could claim it. On our more recent visit there he asked for it at the desk and it couldn't be found, including in a safe. We were told that the woman who he had talked to was no longer employed. This, as you can imagine, was a huge disappointment for him.

No one around the front desk at midnight. Cards not working on lobby door after midnight. Had to figure out how to get the AC to work. Had to figure out why light switch didn't turn on lights. Loud people at 2am in hallways. Loud music being played around 2 am also. Not a lot of choices for breakfast, either out of stock or not available.

The heating system was very noisy. It kept turning off and on every 5-10 minutes interrupting our sleep.

Beds were very comfortable. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. We had to leave before 6:0O so did not have breakfast.

Places on 2nd floor, told no ground floor available. Then get placed in a room farthest away from the lobby. Laundry facilities weren't available, told "sorry" and referred to a local laundry mat. Never saw housekeeping the entire 5 day stay. I've stayed in Baymont 's before at other locations and thought they were very good. Very disappointed with this one. Will not stay there again.

When I chkd in room not done but upgraded to diff room. Plugged sink asked to fix but didn't also asked for clean sheets/towels didn't do that either. Toilet paper placement was kinda hidden so I took it off for either access. If the request were met I'd would have given better rating.

The staff was kind of unprofessional. I'm all for being yourself at work, but one of the staff was talking loudly on the phone, clearly having an argument with someone. It just felt like a weird thing to be able to overhear first thing in the morning. The tub drain was clogged and I didn't realize there was standing water in the tub until the next morning when I needed to shower. The hotel was outdated and wasn't super clean.

The convenience to medical facilities. The staff were courteous and helpful. The excessively long shower was worth every penny. Great water pressure, endless hot water, and ice cubes real close to insure a nice bedtime cocktail!

My room smelled like stale cigarettes and the hallway was always musky and smelled like strong foul smelling incense and during our stay there was an altercation involving a gun that was going on 2 doors down from us resulting in officers being called to the property (drama) not a very comfortable safe feeling or home away from home type feeling here.
