How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Not a really beautiful place. What they called (in booking.com) breakfast = self service coffee, “fake” orange juice and few muffins. That’s it

Everything online shows that breakfast was included, and I was not the only guest coming down and asking where the breakfast was during our stay. Some cheap mini muffins from Costco/Sams and a jug of juice is not breakfast! We were there for a fencing tournament which required us to be there very early in the morning with my son fed and ready to go, and we chose this hotel because breakfast was included. If the hotel owners/management have decided to cheap out on the included breakfast, then THEY need to update their listings across ALL platforms! I doubt that we’ll return, and I don’t particularly trust the Super 8 brand for accuracy on their hotel listings any longer.

Breakfast was horrible - orange & apple juice, cheap 1 flavor muffins, that was all. Carpets in hallways were dirty and stained. Carpet in room was stained and frayed. Walls in room and hallways needed repairs and painting. Lighting in room was too dim. Stairway firedoor would not close all the way.
Staff was corteous.

They do NOT offer free breakfast. They offer “refreshments” which translates to some cheap mini muffins and a jug of Orange Juice and Apple Juice to choose from. Bed frames were solid metal, REALLY hurt when you learn this the hard way. Mattresses were very hard and uncomfortable. Pillows were tiny and uncomfortable. Very noisy AC: As in you’ll think there are 18 wheelers driving by your room at night.
It was close and convenient to the venue we were staying at.

No noise insulation. Huge gap at bottom of door. Breakfast is a misnomer. Only blueberry muffins and juice 6am to 9am. Mold in shower. Mattress is stiff. Pillows were flat. Not enough blankets. Feels cheap.
Relatively clean and the location is great.

Not much. 1 little bug crawling up the legs of the table.
Just what we needed after a long car trip. Peace and quiet. A good nights sleep in a good bed. A good coffee in the morning. Thank you.

On the website it said Breakfast. Arrived there to stay, the next day it had no breakfast. The hotel just had muffins and coffee. (Orange Juice and Apple Juice.) The hotel had no elevator and it was very disrespectful for me as a quest to hear the person at the counter ask the Caucasian guest did they want the first floor or second. Me as a African American family was not given that option.
Just the bed and I might have been just to tired.

Serious cigarette and weed smell in room and hallways. No breakfast was available. The bathroom door I didn't shut right. The refrigerator door was dragging on the carpet. Bathroom was dirty. The vending machines didn't work. The microwave plate was uneven. The washer had no hot water and something was wrong with dryer, it only had one temperature that worked. The beds were to high. I had to get a stool to get into bed. Overall I was very disayin the room

You can hear other room doors slamming shut and tv in other room. The disability room has a walk in shower that leaks the water out to the room door. I walked in the room and slipped in the water that had come out the bathroom and fell on the floor. Thankfully happened to me and not my mom. The breakfast was the smallest "cinnamon rolls" I had ever seen.

LOUD. All hours of the night/early mornings!! Spoke to desk and no action or anything else. Continental breakfast was a cinnamon roll and one other bread—every day. Wow
