I comment them for having reading lights on both sides of the bed, but the particular lamps were not suitable for this purpose and were too bright and not focused for reading, such that they shined in the eyes of other room occupants.

The Super 8 has been renovated since we last stayed there some years ago. The renovation was nicely done and included the bathrooms, as well as all new room decor, beds, etc. A few funky old things remain, but the rooms are about as good as you can hope for in a motel of this age. The A/C unit was also newer and pretty quiet. The bed was comfortable with satisfactory linens.

There are only two things that I didn't like about staying here. First and foremost is the fact that all rooms opened to an interior hallway. There were no exterior doors on any rooms...and I really like to park my bike in front of any hotel room I stay in. And since it was a non-smoking room I couldn't simply open an exterior door to step outside to smoke a cigarette. I had to exit into the hallway...go out a security door into the stairwell...and then out another exit door into the parking lot. It was a bit of a hassle but luckily I was right next to the security door so not far to go. Secondly...this hotel (like so many others) has gone to "single-cup" coffee makers in the rooms. This was a real p.i.t.a. for a guy who is a major coffee drinker. I had brought along filters, coffee, and sweetener thinking there would be a REAL coffee maker in the room and I could make my morning and evening pot each day. I'm not fond of hotel coffee to begin with and not being able to make a good pot of coffee in my room was disappointing. I used the tiny coffee maker on the first day and then just opted to sojourn to the lobby and get coffee from the coffee dispenser located there. The bonus in doing this was that in the lobby there was actual liquid creamer (2 different brands) which is better than the powdered creamer packets left in the rooms.

Clean comfortable hotel. Rain was in the forecast the week I stayed there and I was traveling via motorcycle. The hotel was nice enough to allow motorcycle parking under their marquee awning. The added bonus to this was that my motorcycle was in direct view of the front desk which gave me some assurance against being tampered with. Breakfast was included in my stay and it was great!! It was just a "self-serve" style in the lobby but included coffee/cocoa, cereal, yogurt, bananas, toast/jam, honey buns, milk, orange and apple juice. I had requested and was granted a downstairs room. This prevented me from lugging two very heavy duffle bags up stairs. A valet luggage cart was available for moving my gear down a long hallway to my room.

Expected more ootions for the brkfst. No eggs, sausage, bacon, toast available. Just juice cereal and fruit, coffee. Dry foods mainly so a little disappointed in breakfast so I ate out.

Not much choice for breakfast but I knew that in advance. One thing I didn't tell them was they have mice in there linden room, on the second day I found a mouse turd on my sheet.

The staff was very friendly and worked with me to change my check in and out days at the last minute. Room was almost spotless and bed was comfortable.
