We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesToilet didn't work. Had to hold handle and hold til it filled again. Bed was a full size not a queen. Not as clean as it should have been. Lamp shades were loose and floppy and couldn't tighten them up. Wasn't a handicap room at all like I wanted. Bathroom way too small.

United StatesThis property is very tired (beds, sofa, chairs, décor). I paid extra for a suite and it was not so sweet. It was the same as the other room we had with a sofa instead of the extra bed. The sofa wasn't a pullout and was in bad shape. We thought the beds were supposed to be queen size but seemed more like a full/double and sagged in the middle. We had the A/C on in both of our rooms. The good news is that it kept the rooms nice and cool. The bad news is that it made the rooms smell musty. The other big issue is that the side doors remain unlocked all day/night so it's easy for any non-guest to enter the motel.
The best part of the rooms was the art above the beds! The staff was great. Everyone (front desk & cleaning crew) was accommodating and friendly. The location was good. We were close to the baseball field and town.

United StatesI had put in a request for extra pillows because I have a bad back and instead of extra pillows I got put on the second floor (up 15 steps with no elevator) and no extra pillows, a wet bed, a TV that didn't work, three lights that the bulbs were burned out. And for this I had to pay $140 and I don't think that's fair or realistic I would really really appreciate a refund on all or part of my stay cuz it was an absolute disgrace. Oh and they charged me $140 for a room booking.com quoted me $107. And they did it at 6am when i wasnt checking in until after 3pm. Total nightmare.
