How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. No pool no hot tub very small room for the price. Price was 40.00 more than what i am staying in tonight.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was good. It was simple but good. The beds were comfortable. The Internet was good. The staff was nice.
The pool was closed and I didn't get an email about it until it was too late to reserve a different place. There was a lot of black mold that someone tried to paint over in a large area in the bathroom. The bathroom was not cleaned. The tile in the bathroom needs a deep clean. As soon as we opened the door to the room a wall of a musty odor hit us - it was pretty gross.

The pool and hot tub were open while you stayed here, and I wish you would have contacted the front desk immediately and we would have taken action immediately and moved you to another room. This is a time worn hotel just this side of depressing. Old sheets and pillows,carpet had cigarette burn,but it smelled. I had to cha ge roomsfro.. first floor to 214. 214 smelled of very old dust cigarette a d stuffy. Old carpet that did not look clean,thin used,old sheets. It's seen it's good days & needs new fur iturecarpets and bedding.

Bed was uncomfortable. Decor is very ugly and gives the sense of being dirty. Room had a cheap feel. Trash under the table. Looks like an old hotel made over. Hallway smelled unpleasant. Hotel is apparently rented as short term residences for people who leave in the middle of the night for work. Overpriced.

Verified reviewroom was dirty and specially the bathroom. Yellow stuff around the toilet and the shower. Very dusty and we couldn't get a shower in the morning because power was out. No breakfast and so hot. Very bad experience. Not coming back again

Verified reviewpower went out in what i understand was a city thing, but i very specifically asked for a bottom floor because i have a baby and recovering still from c section, they gave me second but said there’s elevator and my room is also right across from elevator. power goes out in morning, room gets hot with no air, can’t shower, can’t work over half of the free breakfast, sandwiches are frozen can’t microwave. pretty much cereal and juice. mind you it’s 80 a night right now and 174 when i paid they racked it up over a weekend. couldn’t use pool. the elevator didn’t work and the doors to the stairs right outside my room was locked so i had to walk down a long hallway in the dark, with a baby and bags. and i explain why i believe i deserve a partial refund due to all these things, and i got a rude response of “i can take it up with the city because it’s not their fault.” apparently management doesn’t want customers to return because that’s a very unprofessional response. i realize wasnt their fault so i didn’t ask for full response but still no generators, no partial refund, no accommodations whatsoever to try and make the customer happy. i will not stay again.
I am sorry about your issues you experienced, but I already checked with my front desk employee who checked you in that day and she states that you never requested 1st floor I also checked the booking site where you reservation there are no special request for the 1st floor also you checked in at 10 pm after pool is closed if you our pool hours are from 9 am - 10 pm it is stated on our website. I am sorry but we have no control over the power situation or the weather or air for that day I've very sorry and also we do not change rate on the weekends everybody's were high our hotel rate was lowest for that weekend that is why you booked with us, if you would like you can compare rates for this rates for this weekends as well so you can see we are the lowest rate in Walla Walla. As to the dark hallways that is due to the power being out and the doors automatically shut when the power goes out or anything electrical due to the fire control. If you needed assistance with your bags, you could have reached out to the front desk, and we would gladly have helped you with your bags to carry them for you. We are always want our guest to return but, in this incident, this was out of our control so there for we cannot refund something that we have no control of.

Although the cleaning staff was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was great exactly what I would hope for in a continental breakfast.

they double charged me and didnt' have very good customer service. The main manager,a lady, was very rude and kept talking over me.I was told that they pre-authroize cards but I wouldn't be charged as I already through booking.com Worst stay out of town of my life!!!!

We have figured out the issue with this and found that it was Booking.com's fault as they are supposed to provide us with a card that we can charge when you check in, but our system showed your card instead of theirs. As a result, we charged your card. But we have contacted them and they have provided the correct card, so we will refund your card and charge theirs. Thank you.
