Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesRoom description was misleading, sofa bed was actually more like a futon but had creases from the shape of sofa like cushions. Had we known this we would have looked elsewhere as my son didn't find this very comfortable. Sofa bed implies a bed that pulls out of the sofa. Our room smelled horribly, air return filter was filthy and it took 3 days to address after bringing it to their attention because staff is only available M-F from like 8-5 and not if there is a holiday. After the first email about the smell they brought air freshener but that only masked the odor for a bit before it smelled again. After getting filter changed it didn't resolve room smell, entire stay there was a horrible musty odor or like there was a dead rodent in the room somewhere. Other rooms our friends stayed in didn't have awful smell. Just room 217. After the last email asking why it was taking so long, I did ask for a partial refund which was not granted. The room was semi clean as well, it was supposedly non-smoking but there were numerous cigarette burns on the rug as well. Parking was awful and it wasn't clear we would have to park on the street until we checked in. Listing doesn't share that exactly. We had to park very far away at the end of another block most nights.
Loved the location and photos of facility online that showed an area where you could gather with group of friends. That's why we chose this location. Area on the roof was very nice and we used it several times to grill, play pool, and sit outside to enjoy nice night weather.

United StatesRudest business owners I’ve ever encountered. Truly - the disrespect and the way in which I - their PAYING customer - was spoken to and treated…like nothing I’ve experienced before. Rude, disrespectful, entitled (they really treated me like I was beneath them, the dirt they walk on), slow response time to issues their own system caused me… I should be reimbursed for every penny I spent there after the way I was disrespected.

United StatesParking on the street when there is a parking lot. This is an apartment building with permanent tenants. There was no one there to explain the key fob for the door and elevator. The key was hard to remove from the box. Very awkward for me, that is used to hotel stays. It was a competitive price, and the pictures were better than the product.

United StatesWhen I arrived, there were shoe prints on the floors, black scuff marks all over the walls, old food in the drain because the disposal doesn’t work which made it smell bad, etc. The listing states that kitchenware is available, but it was very minimal and missing a lot of the essentials. The bottle of hand soap in the bathroom was empty, but out on the sink. The ice maker in the freezer doesn’t work. Water leaks onto the floor from the kitchen sink or refrigerator and smells. The part that was most disappointing, though, was the attitude and rudeness of the property owner who was incredibly disrespectful and unhelpful.
Very comfy bed and nice towels, linens, etc. Would have been nice to have more towels since the hybrid washer/dryer takes 5-7 hours to do a load. Getting in was super easy due to the detailed instructions sent ahead of check in. The building‘s security was fantastic and of great comfort.

United StatesFirst I wanted to extend in the apartment 3 weeks but the owners were not answering so I had call off to move to another an apartment a few doors down. This first apartment didn’t never work the furnace. The one that I’m in now for now 3 weeks now. The garbage doesnt not work, the ice maker in the fridge, I can’t open the window so now the apartment smells like cooked fish. The walls are dirty and needed paint. It really sucks and booking.com when I call you just hang out of me….. thank you very much
