Beautiful location with plenty of amenities for a family beach vacation. Place was great for our family of 5 and the beach was vast and nearly completely empty. Staff were friendly, place was clean and we had a wonderful stay.

The spiral stairs were a little challenging to get down.

We loved how isolated it was and a short walk to the beach. We also really enjoyed using the kayaks and canoes! The staff also were super friendly and helpful.

The TV was hard to figure out, The aggregate on the spiral staircase is very painful on the feet, plus the staircase seems a little dangerous especially for young children and old folks.

We came to Surfcrest for my sons 2nd birthday and Mothers Day for my wife. It was amazingly family and definetly kid friendly. The amenities were amazing! The activities that they offer and recreation room alongside the wide selection of movies and games were outstanding! The trails to the beach were beautiful and there is also a creek you can take a canoe out on! There is just so much to do and not enough time! Definitely booking for a week next time!

Although streaming is provided, the WiFi network is insufficient to be usable. Why even offer the service? Like all the other families there, we made sure to grab DVD’s for the evenings. We had to drive on beach or into town to make and receive calls, send a text or search the internet. More work needs to be done on the main path to beach to keep it walkable when it floods. Dog poop bags & trash maybe mid-trail on the semi-circle beachside trail at the resort. Unfortunately, we experienced a lot of dog poop along the trail left by irresponsible dog owners, and the trash near the main beach trail was overflowing 4 of the 5 days we were there. A fenced leash-free dog area would be nice, being it is the biggest draw to this resort. The toaster (cheapest priced appliance) was Dollar store quality. Had to jiggle lever and go through multiple times to toast bread.
