The staff are amazing, accommodating, and go the extra mile to make your stay spectacular. Cabin has everything you need. The kitchenette has anything needed to cook up a meal. Basic necessities provided. Clean bathrooms, bedrooms. Main lobby area is fabulous to relax, play a game, or sit on porch and enjoy the views. 10-15 min walk to town. Easy. A couple places closer (@ 10 min). And 15 min walk in opposite direction is great scenic view of McKinley. Id rate a 20 if I could.

It was a bit of a walk into town when it was raining. We totally understand that they can’t control the rain but wondered if they could provide a bit of a shuttle into town 2 or 3 times a day. Another option might add a convenience/store in their office as the cabin had appliances to prep meals.

We loved the cozy, private, homey, and riverside cabin.

So quiet, cozy, and peaceful. A great spot for pets with a reasonable pet fee. Beautiful views from the river on the property, close enough to walk to town, and a lovely reception area with games, books, and DVDs/DVD players you can borrow for your stay. We LOVED it.

Back woods cabin should not be on the main road leading to town…that is not back woods. No power back-up. I realize you cannot control the weather but having a backup system someday is a must. It got very chilly in the cabin before we left and we needed to use flashlights to get ready to leave. 5 minutes before we left the electricity came back on.

We are a retired couple who shared the cabin with another retired couple. There was one couch in the living room area that two of us could sit on. The other two had to sit on dining chairs. It would have been so much nicer and more comfortable if there had been a love seat or a couple of cushioned chairs. There was adequate space for it. We could not get connected to the Wi-Fi unless we did it from the office area and then went to the cabin. Then each time we left the coverage area, we had to repeat the process. It got to be too much of a hassle to keep that up and we just used our regular phone service to access the internet.

No breakfast provided. The cabin was clean and was up to date. Very close to Talkeetna. Although we were not traveling with children, there was a playground directly across the highway that would be nice for those who are traveling with children. We arrived ahead of the regular check in time and they made the cabin available earlier for us.

Remember this is a pet friendly area. However, we didn't like getting out of bed to discover that our pajamas were covered in dog hair especially when I'm allergic to dog and cat dander..But, overall, we loved our cabin so much that we truly can't complain.

We enjoyed the experience and the view of staying over in the Cabins. The beds were super comfortable and it was a perfect size for our family. Rooms are spacious! It was nice and warm inside even though the weather was cold outside, did it not bother us at all when we were inside the cabin.
