The location of the property is magnificent. It is right on the river. The lodge rooms were very comfortable with a rustic feel. It is a short walk or drive into downtown Talkeetna.

There is no breakfast available, but they did have coffee and water and a few snacks. Not a huge deal as long as you are aware. The Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge just down the road has an amazing view of Denali and has a good restaurant. It’s very convenient for meals.

Check-in person wasn’t very welcoming.

The lodge felt like home with a wonderful lobby to chat with other guests over complimentary coffee or tea. They even provided a large assortment of good snacks at a very reasonable rate. They offered a big selections of movies to watch, including local documentaries on Alaska, Denali and the Northern Lights. The library had a big selection of books on local history as well as fiction bestsellers. There was a nice lawn area and picnic tables next to the Susitna River which we enjoyed. They provided a ride to/from the train station. And the staff were incredibility friendly and helpful. We felt at home and have already recommended the lodge to friends.

The view, the area and our room. It was a great location and Talkeenta is a quirky interesting town. Just be aware that there are stairs up to and into a loft in the room.

The lodge is located right next to the Susitna River. The river was about 50 feet from our room. The lodge is about a quarter mile from the airport and about a half mile from downtown Talkeetna.

The location right on the river is peaceful and relaxing. And it's very convenient to downtown Talkeetna and many hiking options.

The accommodation was just beautiful and the view over the river and mountains was amazing. Cosy clean and the beds were so comfy. The staff were so kind and helpful. The accommodation is in walking distance to Talkeetna and the airstrip for flights up to Denali. A perfect place to stay !

The fantastic riverfront location. Sound from the river was so peaceful and relaxing.

We loved our stay here! They provided roundtrip transportation to and from the train station since we didn't have a car, so that was the first gold star. The room itself was clean and comfortable and had beautiful views over the frozen river. We even saw the aurora through our window! It was a short walk to town for food and everyone was so friendly. Absolutely loved our time in Talkeetna and would recommend this lodge to anyone.

Lovely, quaint, quiet and clean lodge. Darlene was incredibly nice and made sure all was in order for our stay.

Amazing place to stay. Beautiful views from the room. Room clean and cozy. In the kitchen corner you have everything to make and enjoy the meal (pot, skillet, kettle, countertop burner, plates, silverware, mugs and glasses). We arrive late and the staff/owners wrote us a personal letter to navigate through the property.
