Svens is close to the airport and a road that you hear a decent amount of noise from both.

Everything was great however the RV parked next to the room with a tarp line from tarp covering the RV was tethered to our deck railing. Just made it feel a little ghetto

We stayed in the Indiana Jones Treehouse, which was a unique and wonderful experience. The dry cabin has electricity and heat with a comfortable bed and a porch with a table and view of the wooded surroundings. The shared bathrooms and warm showers were consistently clean.

The toilet is a bit far from the rooms. I guess it can't be helped as the central kitchen and washing areas makes it more cost effective.

My husband and I are naturalists and we like the place as it is surrounded by greenery. There are also birds breeding there in the summer, the staff and management make sure that the wildlife are welcome there and protected from disturbances. The staff and owner are very friendly and approachable. Location suits us as it is very close to the Fairbank airport.

A lovely oasis in the middle of Fairbanks, the staff were amazing, nothing was too much bother, , a very relaxed and easy going hostel, I definitely would recommend staying here

For security purposes (although a wooded area, this is located in town), we didn't like parking essentially outside the facility in a lot right on the street. Increasing the rate slightly in order to not have to pay for showers ($0.25/min) would likely be more convenient for all. Black out vs the dark curtains currently installed wild also be a welcomed addition, even to those of us well-accustomed to living with the midnight sun.

Bed was comfortable (7 out of 10 for those who prefer a soft bed) and the provided space heater kept us plenty warm. Ample seating in common area including an enclosed outdoor kitchen with fridge where overnighters can keep their food.

It was amongst the trees. It was surprisingly quiet. We had a car so we could get around but it was on the edge of the city. We didn’t realise we were the last customers for the season.

If I have to be nit picky and this is just a suggestion. For germophobes like myself, automatic on and off faucets would be a great enhancement.

Has a "in nature" resort like vibe. Quiet and peaceful. Extremely friendly staff. Hammocks and dart board. And a cherry on top, walking distance from a recreational Marijuana dispensary.. ;)

Heaters weren’t warm enough.

It’s a very cool set up, looks like a great place to spend some time. I kinda of froze all night though. Not the places fault but one of our bunk mates was REALY nasty about me having my toddler. He was driving a plastic car not making noise. She said she would get up early and be extra noisy and she totally was. Upsetting the other bunk mate who don’t seem to my little guy at all. This over lady caused me a lot of stress. So maybe tell people there might me kids in the dorm.

This trip a group of motorcyclists were there at the same time. They partied and were very loud late into the night. Changed the experience completely from serene to loud and noisy. Affected my ability to sleep, especially since I had a very early day next.

To no fault of theirs, the local bar on Friday night was pretty loud and obnoxious. It was exaggerated because we were so very tired and were looking for a peaceful sleep but had to listen to karaoke until 2am. I wished the prices were a bit lower, or that there was an AK discount.

We didn't partake in the breakfast because of our schedule.

The mattress was squeaky and the door latch was really noisy so I would recommend bringing earplugs.

Cute little outdoor campsite/tent hostel. Sven welcomed me at the door, gave me a tour and explained how to use the propane heater overnight. I was worried I would be cold but Sven provided me with an additional blanket so I was very warm. The (paid in quarters) hot shower was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised to see a hairdryer and hair straightener in the women’s bathroom. The kitchen was clean and the wifi connection worked at a good speed.

It was cold (around 2-5°C) during the night and they gave you just sleeping bag for summer time and small heating device which is not enough. I got a cold after staying there. Uncomfortable beds. Extra pay for coffee/tea.
