Reviews of Tetherow Hotel 4 stars

It was beautiful. The resort was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The pool was great. We had a wonderful time. The beds were the nicest bed I have ever slept in.

There were a couple of things we were disappointed in. First at check in the young lady who checked us in just rushed through our check in. She was nice but she didn’t explain anything about the resort to us, like where the restaurants were for an example. Probably the worst thing about check-in was we stayed at the end of August. The average temperature that week was 90° when we finally found our room we opened the door and it was 86° in our room. The air conditioner was off in our room. It was so hot in our room we dropped our bags off grabbed our swimsuits and went to the pool that’s what we had planned to do anyway. I just feel the room should have been at a comfortable temperature. Total first world problem I know this! The last thing was our room was not very clean. In the bathroom, there was coffee splashed on the wall, there was no body wash in the shower. Normally I have my own so it wouldn’t have been a big deal, but I forgot to bring some. I called down three times 2 times one the first day for them to come fill the body wash and after the third time,Avery nice young man brought up three travel size body wash bottles. (Just irritating) In the bedroom, there was coffee on the lampshade. There was a layer of dust on a lot of the surfaces in the room. Although none of this ruined our stay, the room was still wonderful. I just feel like for the price point of over $1400 for three nights. None of those things should’ve happened. Again, first world problems our stay was still wonderful and we would absolutely stay there again.

The house keepers went through our suitcases and my wife’s purses. They were understaffed and the front desk people continually lied to us about everything. They overcharged us as well. The house keepers didn’t speak English and we were told that the resort doesn’t do background checks. Also told that the property owners are having cash flow problems. It use to be our favorite place now I don’t think we will return. We stayed for 8 nights.

Had all amenities. Very clean. Beautiful view of the golf course. Loved the walking trails.

A bit difficult to stow the bicycles - the room was down one level from the ground floor. However, that was a minor inconvenience. This is a great property!

Pillows were too soft. One firmer and 1 soft would be better.

Beautiful and natural

They don’t allow walking on the path along the golf course. We have traveled all over Europe and the UK and even at the most prestigious courses, walking is encouraged. There is a mountain bike single track trail adjacent to the course, but not a walking/running trail.

Property is very nice

The hotel had gorgeous views. The rooms were nice with very comfortable beds.

The responsiveness on the virtual text assistance. Small pool for the amount of guest. Pool was very crowded with kids. Not a relaxing atmosphere if you were hoping for during your stay. As it is on a golf course we expected it to be more geared towards adults.

So much attention to the details. High end bedding, decor…. 6 pillows on the bed. Professional staff, great location and amenities we don’t expect. We already recommended this property to friends. We own a boutique hotel ourselves, and rarely stay at places we find to be exceptional, but we can say this is truly exceptional.
