Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomCannot think of anything.
My wife and I had a good view of Manhattan. I liked the free coffee in the mornings (much better than the usual instant coffee and a kettle in the room. Also appreciated the free glass of wine in the early evening although we were rarely back in time for it. The staff in the hotel and restaurant were very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomSpacious room, fantastic view of the city, short walk to get the train over to Manhattan, we could get to central park in around 20 minutes from leaving the front door. The free coffee in the morning was a great touch, the gym was pretty well equipped. Every one of the staff we encountered were friendly. There are a few really close places to grab a nice breakfast nearby on the way to the train.

United States of AmericaThere were few amenities such as no fridge or microwave. The TV only had cable making it very limiting for entertainment. Also the bed was not very sturdy. Otherwise everything else was great.
I loved the lay out of the room and the space. The view was okay considering we did not get a manhattan view room. The bathroom was very nice with the private toilet. The location of the hotel was great for parking and finding other activities to do.

United States of AmericaWould love a microwave and/or coffee maker in the room. Thought it was expensive for one night but it seems that's the way most hotels in the area are going.
Bed was fantastic; view was gorgeous (Manhattan side, king bed). The noise from the street was unbelievable though--was surprised there wasn't more soundproofing. But ear plugs worked for that. Staff was lovely. Neighborhood was good--we lived in Astoria for years and were visiting family. Found parking on the street no problem.

United States of AmericaIt would have been nice to have a mini fridge. The room did not have an iron and ironing board; however, upon request it was provided (the iron leaked water and may need to be replaced). Each room should have a working iron and iron board.
The view was spectacular. The room is clean. It would have been nice to have a mini fridge. The room did not have an iron and ironing board; however, upon request it was provided (the iron leaked water and may need to be replaced). Each room should have a working iron and iron board. Overall, we were happy with the room and our stay at Boro hotel and would stay there again.

United States of AmericaThe Manhattan view from the room I upgraded to had a building blocking the Manhattan view. The bathroom didn't have a fan which was really unfortunate. There was no fridge, which I thought was a normal thing to have in a room. We requested a bath instead of a shower but got the shower.
The bed.

SpainThe balcony door didn't seal and the room was cold and felt the wind, even though the heating was on. Please check all those doors and fix them for future guests. You can hear the other rooms if they talk loudly.
The view was incredible, great location and very close to the subway (Queensboro Plaza for 7, N and W trains; 39 Av for N and W trains, and Queens Plaza for E, F and R trains), if you land in JFK you can take the E train and stop by Queens Plaza and walk about 7-10 minutes to the hotel. The room was comfy, clean and with good space, the bathroom has a good size and good shower. The staff service was excellent, very friendly and kind.

United States of AmericaWhenever I come here it’s because of the proximity to my job as we have multiple locations and offices. I eat in the restaurant downstairs but on both occasions I hadn’t finished my meal and unfortunately in the rooms, there are no refrigerators so I felt as if my leftovers would spoil when I wanted to take them to work the next morning!

CanadaThe overall decor has a very industrial look, but it comes off as looking more "unfinished" at times. For example, the floors on each floor are just pure concrete. When I think hotel, i think warmth and this was the opposite. The bathroom door didn't lock and the neighborhood was very loud, from early in the morning. But that's New York...
The proximity to major metro lines was definitely a plus. The staff was however the best thing about the hotel, helpful in every way, wether it be front desk or the restaurant. Speaking of... they have a real pizza oven and this plays a great part in making the pizza AMAZING. Please try it! Breakfast, although not included, was great too!
