Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesSee the above review but major things to note: small bathroom making multiple people use difficult. Storage space is really nonexistent with exception of a hook that held 6 hangers. Would love for management to install more wall hooks for jackets, sweaters etc.
Loved the Bucking Moose! True to its website the site is about 1 minute from the Gates to Yellowstone National Park. It's a very cute little place, very cozy and it shows that the owners take great care of the property. We stayed in the Squirrel Suite so the review can only be for "that" particular cabin/suite as there are many different types of rooms/cabins at this property. Loved, loved the beds and pillows. We truly slept so well that getting out of bed was tough as the bed was cozy and comfortable. The amenities available were also a plus. Little things like makeup cloths and Keurig coffee and cups, utensils were provided which indeed did help with in room eating. There is a microwave, coffee machine, mini frig and they also provide a hair dryer. The unit had been remodeled which was lovely with very rustic vibes. The location is walkable to every part of town along with restaurants, shops and the visitor center. There is 1 McDonalds in town otherwise everything else is local non chain type eating. Some things to know - there is a heat, a/c unit that is attached to the window which does take up some space in the main area. There really is NO storage areas except a hanger type hook for approximately 6 hangars. Know that we pretty much had to live out of our suitcases. The bathroom is very small making multiple people use nonexistent. There is a table in the main area but most of the space is taken up with the large tv. (note to management- mount the TV so table use is possible). There is a door between the bedroom and main bedroom area but the door to the bathroom from the 2nd bedroom doesn't open all the way, so you have to go to the shared door to enter the bathroom. Again, not a big deal but a family trying to have privacy might struggle a bit. The management is very responsive and extremely friendly and accommodating! Shout out to Joseph who brought our pre stay package to our unit for us which was very much appreciated!

United StatesThe fridge smelled a bit and the carpet was stained. It would be nice if there was a comfortable chair for reading. Kinda odd that there were coffee pods but no machine to use them (at least I didn't find one).
We stayed in the loft so the separate rooms were nice! The location was great! The beds and pillows were very comfortable! The place was clean! The kitchen was fully stocked. I appreciated the coffee!

United StatesIt is actually not a problem that there is no staff, although because of that, the kitchen could have been a bit better stocked (4 coffees for 2 guests for 3 days?). It is however a bit expensive for what it offers in terms of services and facilities.
The place is cute, clean and comfortable. Good location in West Yellowstone.

CanadaAlthough walkable to nearby shops and restaurants, the crosswalks are kind of sketchy with drivers not stopping/paying attention to pedestrians.
Clear instructions given by email when booking and before check in. Perfect location which is a short drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Walkable to local shops and restaurants. Cute room decor, it was clean and cozy cabin feel. Easy access to free parking outside the room. The room was very quiet even though it's near a main road.

United StatesI was expecting a “kitchenette”. (For the price) Instead only had hotel size refrigerator and small microwave. Parking was extremely limited. We ended up parking in a “back lot” several times which was a safety issue for me.
We liked the location. Just a few minutes into the West Yellowstone National Park entrance. Several things for family events during stay outside of the park as well.

United StatesThe parking lot was in bad shape and spaces were not marked well. Our unit’s front room heater quit. Management brought us a space heater and were very accommodating. They mentioned that they’d had issues with that heater. We were one if two used cabins, so we questioned why we were given that cabin.

United StatesThis is a quirky and ultimately very nice place to stay in Yellowstone, with good accommodations and very clean. There is no front desk, but rather a check-in screen inside the room. This worked great overall. Would stay again. Stayed in room #9 - The Squirrel Room. Only wish it had a small table to play board games.

United StatesHaving seen the room in person the pricing makes more sense for peak season and not as much for the off season when neither the park nor the town is particularly busy.
Immediate access to the park entrance was great, the room was very clean and checking in and out was hassle free.

United StatesWe were given toiletries for two people and we had three in our party which was clearly stated on our reservation. The window above the bed had a curtain that did not block the outside building light that hit right on your face while sleeping. The light up informational board was cute for a bit but later became annoying.
Location was excellent to Yellowstone National Park, gift shops, places to eat. Room was clean and comfortable. Decor was quaint and fun for the location near Yellowstone.

United StatesThere were coffee mugs and wine glasses (fine by me), but no bowls, plates or utensils. No big deal, but a few of each of these (even plastic) would have been helpful.
Charming, quiet and clean. Comfy beds, well appointed and just right for our family of four. Walking distance to restaurants, groceries, shops. All instructions (check-in and out) were easy, and we really enjoyed how laid back everything was.

United StatesParking was a little tight. We had #1, which had a property above it. You heard every step they took. Every board creaked. For the amount of money that we spent on this property, I would have thought that there would be more of a separation of sound.
The location and ease to find the property. Enjoyed having a table and chairs with room to spread out. It was a chilly night in West Yellowstone, the electric fireplace was a nice addition.
