I said almost perfect. I am reaching but the only thing I didn't like is it was a pain to get down to Duvall St. We spent way more than I would have likes on parking down there. If there was some kind of easier option besides driving to get to Duvall, it would be perfect.

The place was an island paradise. Clean, well kept, excellent continental breakfast each day. Is on a busy road, US1, but in the pool and general resort area, you had no idea you were on such a busy road. The place is beautiful and almost perfect.

The entire stay was amazing. I am definitely going back there again with the family. Beautiful location. The pool is warm and open till 11 o'clock. The outside bar drinks are delicious and hit hard LOL, the breakfast is by far. The best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel in my life which speaks volumes. Because we all know that breakfast is not cheap in the keys. And they supersede even a restaurant that you pay at amazing place. The entire family loved it worth every cent. The staff is tremendous, very helping and willing to work with you in any way. Shape or form I would give it 20 stars because 5 or 10 wasn't enough

A fairly high pet fee of $100 per night, however, I was happy they accepted pets.

Beautiful resort, Manatees were right outside our door from the 2 bedroom suite on bay. Plenty of space to relax and enjoy our stay. Great breakfast, pool and beach area.

8am breakfast start, in our opinion, is very late. We were not able to utilize the breakfast area due to excursions. Coffee station wasn’t brought out til later also. N espresso is not for us, just regular coffee.

Both elevators quit working. I don't mind using the stairs ... good exercise, but it was a little harder to get all of our things back downstairs when we left. Not a deal breaker though, it never hurts to use stairs.

The property is perfectly located at 20-30 minute walking distance from downtown Key West ( Duval and Truman ), there’s plenty of parking space, modern architecture with spacious rooms, all with balconies facing the ocean, the swimming pool with Jacuzzi is spacious and located in the backyard in an open space facing a small beach and the ocean ( Not enclosed by the building as you find in most of other Opal resorts ) . There is a pool bar on the side with very friendly bartenders to prepare your favorite drinks. All the staff is very friendly and helpful.

A shuttle would be MUCH appreciated. I rented a car but after 2 days I gave it back, too much traffic, some areas of Key West area crazy busy, hard to find parking and at the age of 76, coming from the burbs, I'm not the best parallel parker. We tried the bus service, but it's highly unreliable.

Breakfast was fine, European style, included in the price of the room. Self serve, basic and appreciated, did not have to leave this beautiful hotel. The design of the hotel is well thought out, each room faces the water and their beautiful grounds, pool area, pool table, volleyball court?, small bar and dining area. The rooms are well insulated, when you close the sliding glass doors, it's really peaceful inside. They have quite an international crowd, with plenty of families. I came for peace and quiet and got it, if you want action, there's plenty to book and do.They have a truly beautiful IGUANA, it was a feast for the eyes to see it come out for lunch every day, it trims the bushes, it's very friendly and use to people, this was the extra bonus in the vacation.

We loved it here! We had a warm and helpful welcome. The room was excellent - just walked in and relaxed immediately! Every single staff member was polite and greeted you with a smile! The facilities were excellent. There was a good range of good quality food for breakfast. Beds were super comfortable. We will definitely be back!!

property is beautiful and very nicely located. The pool is huge and has a beautiful view of the water. The beach is really not usable because it’s very rocky but the side from that the property is very pretty and our room was very very nice.
