Room door needs adjusting as it closes with hard slam & sticks when opening as it requires hard pull. Sink so shallow water splashes all over counter when washing hands, face, brushing teeth; no towel racks in sink area; no place to hang anything longer than shirt on back of bathroom door; no waste basket in bathroom; body wash container in back of tube was empty. General room had no closet or place to hang anything; lamp by chair (windows) had no light bulb. No directions on how to use TV properly. Could hear other doors closing in hallway.
Easy to enter and exit.

It was under construction and undergoing a change of management to become a Best Western. Key items were missing from the breakfast and some of the staff were confused about the check in process due to the impending change. They did try to accommodate us though.
The grounds are beautiful. It is conveniently located to attractions and necessities in town. Rooms are clean and pretty.

The only downside was that the refrigerator door was left open from prior occupants or staff and when I shut it to keep water and leftover food cold, it leaked water onto the floor over night. The staff was very apologetic and I would definitely come back in the future.
This place was perfect to stay at a day before we had to drop our son off at Summer Camp.

I would of liked a heads up about the construction. I understand the building is being renovated . There was no notice when booking the room. There was no mess just a lot of big boxes everywhere and people working in the building. One other thing we stood two night and and house keeping never cleaned our room.
The staff is amazing. The room was clean and very spacious. Everything is the room was updated and beautiful. The seating area with table and chairs was a wonderful surprise, I sat there with my college student who I was in town to see talking for hours .

Bedding was not comfortable. Crinkly matrice pad and the sheets were not soft. No wash clothes for the shower.
Renovation is being handled well. The new rooms are functional, feel larger but missing some of the old Clarkson Inn Charm.

The Inn is under renovations so lots of dust which triggers my allergies. The pillows are horrible.

The construction is taking too long

The pillows were way too squishy. Wish there was a firmer option, at least on one of the beds. the headboard on the one bed was completely broken away from the frame which made the headboard hit the wall when you moved in the bed. Kept getting disconnected from the WiFi

room darkening shades would help a lot with night light pollution and early am light , need to dust behind bed , more comfortable/ less hard mattress would be nice, and would prefer light colored dust ruffle on bed as like to check for cleanliness of bed faucets for sink a little difficult to use but manageable
mostly clean, pretty much quiet, nice staff, easy to get in/out of room with luggage from car, relaxing atmosphere, microwave and fridge worked well, breakfast was nice/ adequate

No washcloths for the bathroom, or garbage can in the restroom area. Could use some updating and carpet refreshing. Better ambient lighting in rooms
Location was excellent! Easy in and out, plenty of parking. Staff was wonderful and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options . Cute and quaint. Beds were extremely comfortable! Affordable pricing
