Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaLoved the room, the furniture was very nice and the room was clean! The location was great. Close to downtown Salem and just a 30 to 40 minute drive to downtown Boston depending on traffic.

United KingdomThe amount of thought that had gone into everything, having wireless chargers on both bed side tables, a white noise machine and a specific wash cloth for makeup and robes. Everything was thought about. The room was incredibly clean and looked like the pictures

United States of AmericaThe refrigerator wasn’t cooling at capacity. I will remember to ask for no air fresheners etc next time. Otherwise we had no issues.
There’s no breakfast available, however there were restaurants close by. The staff is available by text every day. They reach out several times a day. We prefer to decline housekeeping in hotels due to the electronics we travel with. This was not an issue with the staff. We would definitely stay here again.

United States of AmericaWe didn’t like the location. For those price I expected it to be in a nicer neighborhood and closer to the center. Walking back at night felt a bit uncomfortable. Having regular tea rather than just green would be a plus.
The hotel itself was wonderful. We had a 2 room suite, clean, beautiful decor.

United States of AmericaMy only wish is that this inn had a common space with more seating. We spent most of our time at the inn in our room, which was beautiful, but there wasn’t really anywhere else you felt you could go if you needed to take a phone call or hang out.
Room and property were beautifully decorated and sparkling clean! It was the perfect place to come back to and relax after a long day of exploring. Staff were very friendly and easy to get ahold of without getting in the way.

United KingdomI don’t have a bad word to say about this place. Only thing I would recommend is that we could have done with a big mirror in our room.
The decor was absolutely stunning, it was incredibly clean and comfortable. Nice and warm. Quiet even though it’s next to the main road we didn’t hear a thing. Wanted to stay longer, would highly recommend. Marley literally went above and beyond to help us during our stay.

United KingdomAlthough the room was very nice it is mis- described in the room description which suggests it is a two room suite with a separate bedroom. (See screenshot of description).
Very nice room with everything we needed and close to shops and restaurants. Service was good albeit remote, but very responsive via WhatsApp. Free parking on site was excellent.

United KingdomBeing a smaller hotel, Boise did travel easily if other guests were loud. However the concierge was very good in dealing with this issue
I loved that it was small and boutique, very clean and beautifully decorated, it has a unique feel to it that you don’t get in larger corporate hotels

United States of AmericaWhat I didn't like was the fact I had to maximize my trips. A roundtrip from Coach House to downtown is 2 miles, all 3 days we did at least 2 trips, one of the return trips was in the rain. We walked a minimum of 6 miles per day, I could have called for a lyft however I could walk for free and get to my destination before the lyft would pick me up. There was 1 pizzeria 3 blocks from the house but not very friendly, they were very interested in the tv and not the fact I was a paying customer. There was no other bakery or restaurant in the general vicinity. Parking in the downtown center is limited so driving back and forth was not worth the hassle. The Coach House is located on Lafayette St which is a main road (Rte 114), so the traffic is very heavy especially during the day and at night is mostly a lot of truck traffic. We stayed 3 nights and had towels for 2 nights. My suggestion would be to ask for a set of towels for every day.
The room was comfortable. The Coach House is digital so there is no staff on site. I had access to a concierge from 7am-7pm. she was friendly and was quick to respond to my questions. There is a parking pad behind the home which was great after driving it was nice not to have to search for parking. The Coach House is 1 mile from downtown so we would leave at 830am 9am to walk to downtown center for breakfast. The drivers are mindful of pedestrian walkways and actually stop to let you cross! Once downtown there were lots of things to do and everything was central,. I recommend taking the trolley ride to see what is out there. The Peabody Essex Museum was also a nice change, the House of 7 Gables is a must see. If I had more time I would have taken the ferry from Salem to Boston. The train is not far from downtown. The room was comfortable, a queen bed, a flat screen and a bathroom, they also had 2 chargers which actually came in handy there is a keurig in the room but it's not the same as fresh coffee. The obligatory 175.00 bathrobes were available as well as a second set of towels. The house was surprisingly quiet, I know of at least 3 other rooms that were occupied and I never saw any of them. There was a keurig with selections of coffee/tea, there were 4 pony bottles of water and a small bag of snacks. I recommend bringing snacks if you are a late night snacker. There is no fridge
