Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaPrice a bit high fort Mediocre breakfast and shared bathroom.
The best thing about this property was the location to Coolidge Corner being close to the T green stop, Trader Joe’s and restaurants. I liked the living and dining room area to hang out so you weren’t limited to staying your room. Getting into Boston was close and easy. The guest house was comfortable but there is no personal touch of staff or a handmade breakfast that would be expected at most B&B’s as compared to staying at a hotel. The owner did make an effort to provide breakfast earlier for those of us running in the BAA 5K or Marathon, though she was never present. It was enjoyable to meet other guests at the large breakfast table but most of us went to Trader Joe’s for breakfast items and more healthy choices. Coffee was not available until 8am which I felt was a bit late. The staff (Maids) were very eager to help but most spoke little or no English. If you are ok with a do it yourself place it was fine.

United KingdomSome minor details could do with a bit of TLC
A lovely traditional clapper board property with loads of quaint features. Breakfast is continental style with porridge, bagels, hard boiled eggs and pastries, eaten at a table with other guests. We had a very sociable bunch who all chatted together, so it was very companionable.

IsraelWe didn't realize until we got there that our room would be at the top of two flights of winding stairs. Since we had a couple of heavy suitcases, this made arrival and departure somewhat challenging.
The staff are very nice and very helpful. The bed was very comfortable.

United States of AmericaLocation to Boston and the Green line was Wonderful…WellI would say that this place was adequate but nothing special. For me it lacked the personality, and personal touches of a friendly staff that I look forward to with staying at a B&B. I felt it was overpriced as compared to other Brookline choices for the money. where was the home cooked breakfast of French toast or Blueberry pancakes!!! Parking was available but we spent a lot of time moving cars around to get in and out. some of the guests refused to move there car and we had to move the car ourselves. For the money they charged I thought this was unreasonable!

United States of Americavery hands off no one to greet you just a phone call in the middle of dinner with my child to make sure I had checked in. no one but me put their car key where they were supposed to so I had to call to see if I could get my car out when I wanted to check out - the charge for parking is too much for that inconvenience.
location was good for me - 15-20min walk to see my child at BU

It was pretty sparse but I think it was due to Covid.

South AfricaWe would have preferred a separate bathroom, but we made it work. The TV channel options where bit limited, but not the end of the world. The image seemed a bit blurred, perhaps you can check this ( not sure if it was my eye sight). We took a day to orientate ourselves, but soon got the hang of it. One evening, when we wanted to make tea, there was no milk or half & half in the cupboard, hence no tea. Although the staff were pleasant and cleaned daily...they may want to clean underneath chest of drawers ( not sure about underneath the bed ?). I only noticed because I dropped something and was looking for it.
Coffee and continental breakfast, especially the fruit was great start to the day. Really nice to have access to the kitchen after a long day of sight seeing to make a cup of tea. Although we had to share a bathroom (not our first choice), the bathroom was spotlessly clean and we always had access. Liked the access code to get into the B&B...made life a lot easier. Seemed to be very safe. Friendly staff and you were most accommodating in allowing us to leave our luggage in the lounge on the day we checked out.

United States of AmericaSound wasn't very well insulated, but most other guests were relatively quiet. A little bit cool but there was a thermostat in the hallway to warm up for a few hours at a time.
The room was very cute, with antique furniture and decor. Bed was very comfortable and warm with a very nice quilt. It was easy to walk to cafes and the shopping areas around Brookline. I could also do laundry for free next to the dining room. Very nice house, I enjoyed staying there. Wifi connectivity was good as well.

United States of AmericaOn this exceptionally windy, frigid night, the room got a little chilly for my preference.
It is far more charming, safe and cozy than a property. On a secluded street that is a quick drive to Mass General Hospital or Longwood Medical Area, this preserves my access to excellent care.

IsraelThe room was very small - we were allowed to put our large suitcases in an empty room to make more space. Otherwise, it would really have been uncomfortable. On weekends, bagels and coffee were available for breakfast in the common kitchen. Why couldn't this have been every day, as it apparently was in the past? It was a bit cold inside.
Quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The owners answered every email request immediately. Comfortable bed, good shower. Great location. Feels like home. Simple check-in and out system.
