Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe only complaints I have are that parking was not made very clear. The night I arrived it didn't seem like valet service was operating and driving into the parking garage was tricky. The time of year and duration of my stay made this hotel more affordable but under other circumstances, it would be quite pricey.
The facilities, amenities, and location of this hotel were great! I really enjoyed how clean and comfortable it was (from someone who has some hotel horror stories). I was only there for 1 night but my stay was so nice that I know I'll be back! The hotel lobby is very beautifully designed and captured my attention immediately while searching for hotels. I also thought the hotel rooms, gym, and pool were nicely designed and well kept. The hotel is close to many Portland attractions including Powell's books and Pioneer Square. It was also nice being bale to walk everywhere. I didn't take public transport the one night I stayed here but because of its central location I imagine it would be easy. Paying the extra bucks for the city view was so worth it too. Got to see the city at night and early in the morning which was stunning! The staff were very polite and friendly as well. They helped me with the parking situation, making it a seamless process. I really don't have anything bad to say about my stay here!

United States of AmericaThe rooms are a little dated, and the bathrooms could use a refreshing.
We have been staying here for years, the staff is always on point and the location is perfect for all your shopping and dining needs.

ItalyThe hotel shows on booking.com as 5*, while it is not. Google ranks it as 4*. Also on the hilton official website it does not show as 5*. There is a local stay tax that we were not informed about until checkout. Apparently the hotel offers some benefits because of those charges but those were never offered to us.
Location and value for money. Large size room.

United States of AmericaI just overall didn’t like Portland. There were a lot of homeless people and drug use right around the corner from the hotel. The hotel was a “great” location but the drug use and homelessness really took away from the entire experience
The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff was great!!!

IrelandWhile rooms were clean, corridors were not. Throughout 3 day stay I observed empty food bags and area of dirty carpet, due to food spills, by the lift for the entire stay (floor 9). Used cups left outside doors by house keeping, usually for the entire day. Not a good image. We were informed of destination tax and were told it comes off additional spends (like food) at the hotel. This was a mess, with overcharging and incorrect calculations on the bill. We corrected it at the time of checkout.
Rooms were big, outstanding view (which I paid for), nice decor and very clean. Hotel in a great location allowing easy walks to quality restaurants.

United States of AmericaThe check on staff was just okay. Not very welcoming to be honest. Also, the lotion in the bathroom is a weird consistency and literally doesn't sink in. Otherwise everything else was great!
Loved the cleanliness and modern decor. Very roomy and comfy room.

United States of AmericaIn room coffee supplies inadequate. In hotel parking $30 rate was presented as set by vendor, whereas it was owned by the hotel and was $20 off the the valet rate, but much higher than the adjacent city garage overnight rate of $8. Misleading!
Check in, location.

United States of Americabecause of starlight parade we were not able to park at the hotel, but rather a couple of blocks away in a random parking garage. Other than that, the only problems were that the internet and chromecast didn’t work. the blueberry coffee cake was also WAY TOO SUGARY. I couldn’t eat it and asked the waiters to please tell the cool to cool down on the sugar.

United States of AmericaThe bathroom was not well lit. There was a lighted makeup mirror, but it must have not been working properly because it was so dim. Fridge was the tiniest mini fridge I've ever seen in a hotel. However, we were able to fit all the snacks we brought-fresh fruit and vege, some drinks, and a couple Stouffers mac n cheese for inevitablelate late-night munchies, and restaurant leftovers so it was ultimately not a problem. Pool could have been warmer.
I wanted this stay to be EXTRA special. We were in town to see my favorite artist on NYE, and my 40th birthday was 6 days away. I decided to treat myself. When choosing a hotel for this visit, I looked at 4 criteria: Distance to MODA Breakfast included Parking-safety and price Upscale/Luxe experience at a reasonable price. The Duniway checked ALL the boxes. We stayed New Years Eve thru January 2nd. I chose The Duniway for many reasons, one being the close proximity to The MODA center. We were in town for Brandi Carlile's NYE Party. The Duniway is only a 1.6 mile Uber ride away, and we took the MAX back to the hotel after the concert. Perfect location! The Duniway is BEAUTIFUL. You are instantly greeted with an impressive lobby that looks into the bar and the restaurant beyond. A rich, dark interior with warm lighting, beautiful nature/dystopian inspired paintings, and surprising funky hidden nicknacks. We had a city view room with 2 queen beds. The beds were cozy and I loved spending time on the window seat or chaise/couch staring out at the city. The bathroom was modern black and white with high-end shampoos, conditioners, lotions, and soaps available. There was no microwave, but they brought one to us! Really liked being able to cast a movie I purchased on Amazon to the enormous TV. Breakfast was to die for. No continental buffet here! (We had the inclusive breakfast package on our room, so not an extra dime beyond our room total was spent on any food mentioned in this review.) It was sit down dining and the waitstaff came to you to take your order. We had the breakfast Banh Mi and holy smokes. So delicious. I had a latte and the blueberry crumb cake both mornings in addition to the Banh Mi. One of the fees towards the room was actually credited back to us to use in their restaurant. $26/day. We were unaware that their restaurant required reservations, so that first night we ate across the street at The Hilton.
