Liked that we had 2 separate rooms and a shared bath. Liked the coffee and pastry in the morning. Excellent location.

Old fashioned tub was a bit tricky to shower in...had to be super careful turning around. Another guest was on a long conference call with her door open so we could hear everything. That was annoying. Not the property's fault.

Pleasant place with a nice garden and homey, old fashioned feel. Good location for town. room was comfortable although shower was a little hard to confine to the bathtub

Breakfast left room for improvement. It would be nice to have some pots of yogurt or some other protein offering, rather than pure carbs.

Breakfast limited, but of high quality. Rooms were comfortable, nights were quiet. Lawns with games and chairs. Convenient location. Good a//c.

No one to greet us upon arrival. Some e-mail messages were sent to us prior to arrival, which I could not take the trouble to read (I was driving, after all). We were told that the rooms would not be cleaned and the beds made after each day because supposedly the guests themselves did not want it, presumably because of the pandemic which, however, is now over. I would like to see the evidence for the claim that 'the guests' did not wish daily cleaning and bed-making.

    Property response:

Hi there. Sorry your expectation of room being re-made while gone for the day was not met! Most of our guests ask us to not to enter their room while they're gone. I'm not sure if it's a small Inn thing or what but that is our experience. We ask our guests to request room service/cleaning if they would like it. It's tough getting it right for everyone but sorry about that. It sounds like the rest of your stay was great :)

Cute, charming property located in the heart of Rhinebeck! Adored the gorgeous clawfoot tub in the bathroom, and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on while traveling. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and made the check in and out process so convenient and easy!

Great picturesque location with attentive and thoughtful hosts. We look forward to traveling back and seeing them again soon. Walking distance to so much of what Rhinebeck has to offer.

The Gables is a charming Inn, full of character - we particularly liked the welcoming sitting room/breakfast area, which was a lovely relaxing place to read, drink some water, or enjoy the wonderful fresh coffee and croissants made fresh daily, by the hosts, John and Pamela, who were both welcoming and discrete.

We booked the Storm King Suite, which was comprised of a bedroom and additional room with a sofa bed, as my husband often reads during the night - this room was extremely cold, however, (though there was a plug in radiator), and due to the eaves of the roof, we had to bend a lot not to bump our heads, so had limited use of the room except as a place to leave our luggage. The huge king size bed in the bedroom was extremely comfortable, however, and we were able to enjoy good quality sleep.

Location was great. Room was ok.

Bfast was coffee and croissant only. No juice. Suggestion: Put out cookies in afternoon…. Something! For the price… guests expect a bit more. For same price… Beekman Arms better!

Beautiful inn with spacious and comfortable rooms, great innkeeper who bakes fresh croissants every morning for guests and takes care of everything. Easy walk to downtown Rhinebeck shopping/restaurant district.

This was the CUTEST inn, and so close to everything downtown! The beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and the owners were so kind and easy to work with. I would recommend staying here to anyone!
