The string lights outside stay on all night. Need room darkening shades perhaps. There are quite a few apartments in the area so it is lit up at night. It is cute but makes it look like daylight inside.

Everything we needed for a short stay. Responsive and helpful host. Very close to town.

The lady who operates the Silver Spur Inn cabins, that you have to drive through to get to Acorn, is not very nice. One person in our party who drove separately asked for directions and out of spite, this lady gave the wrong directions. Would definitely not stay at the Silver Spur if you are considering that option based on the owner's attitude.

Great location, short walk to some of the vendors and short drive to the main vending area. Beverly the hostess was very helpful and and provided great customer service. The room was comfortable and accommodating with wi-fi and movie channels.

The roads

Beautiful little room and we loved the bucket as a sink but driving up to the hotel was treacherous and scary. We would absolutely come back if there were better roads ♥️

It was enjoyable--hard to find, but that is part of it's charm.

It was wonderful to stay on "The Mountain", and I can't wait to go back to explore more. It was the perfect place for our very energetic 5 year old. We did lots of walking and exploring, and she even saw rabbits and pet two welcoming dogs. We sat on the porch and watched while she expended some energy. :-)

Nothing. Everything was tip top shape

Very clean. Beds comfortable. Karen was very sweet and took the elf of the kids and placed it for them. They were so excited that the elf found them there. Will be back.

The hosts were very helpful and flexible as we notify them when we were ready to check in and they accomodated for us. No breakfast, but we did enjoy having a grocery store down the road, to get some breakfast items. We enjoyed the General store theme!

Honestly, I don’t think there are things I don’t like about the property. Although there should be an outdoor cooking area with canopies for those wanting to cook their breakfasts or dinners on-site. ;)

That it’s so peaceful and serene. PERFECT for a much-needed mental getaway from the daily stresses at work!!!

It was smaller than I had anticipated for a family of 4 and two small dogs, but we made it work. It was cozy.

The room was exceptionally clean. The owners were very nice and helpful with everything. It was a super neat, cute place to stay. We would highly recommend.

The location was a little hard to find but the owners did everything they could and we arrived safely. Not really a negative since the location was a positive.

The owners were friendly and helpful. Bonus was meeting their dog Annie Oakley. The room was exactly as presented. It had everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable. The room was unique and cozy. It was wonderful to sit on the front porch and enjoy a warm Texas night listening to trees and not traffic.

My friend and I slipped away to Canton for first Monday trade days and were fortunate enough to stay at Acorn Hideaway on the mountain. We had the best stay ever!!! If you are tired of the regular old hotel room, you should really give this place a try!! They have everything! Amazing, fun, and comfortable rooms, shopping with something for everyone and free live music all within a short walk or golf cart ride.

Not really a pet friendly establishment with all their rules: no pets on furniture; pets cannot be left in room without someone in the room: pets need to be crated at night. The grounds, while quite quaint, are poorly maintained and hard to navigate on foot. driveway needs a good scraping and maybe paving.

What breakfast? Couldn't locate the facility for the breakfast, then found out it wasn't open due to staff issues. We were given two ducks to have a restaurant on the grounds discount breakfast $2. Other than the close location to the flea market, not much. The concept of the place could be a real crowd pleaser.But it needs a lot of sprucing up.
