Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesParking is slightly inconvenient, especially when it's raining, unless you pay the $33 valet price. Noisy at night, I would have hated to be right above the bar on Saturday night.
Excellent location and rooms were comfortable. The bartenders at Porter's were excellent, and made excellent drinks.

United StatesI did not like to show up and not have a room booked even though I had a confirmation number from Booking.com. Very disappointed. This marks the second time i travel using Booking.com and had issues at hotel. I use this for work a lot and thinking about dropping this third party due to lack of competence.
i liked that the hotel was helpful in getting me a room even though there was an error on Booking.com end. The reservation did not show up on their end. I had to show them the confirmation number on my email to prove i had a room. very disappointed.

United StatesThere was a sewage smell on the 4th floor when entering our room. After hours of waiting, it would not go away. I called the service desk at 11pm to request an air freshener. They went above and beyond, moving us to a suite and offering complimentary breakfast.
I’ve been to the George many times. It’s beautiful every time I visit.

United StatesNo complaints.
Terrific coffee prepared in the lobby. Comfortable seating inside and outdoors near the pool. Enjoyed breakfast at The Canteen Bar & Grill located across the driveway on the Cavalry Court property. Custom omelette and hash browns were excellent. Canteen offers Katz' Coffee. The decor at The George is upscale. There is a boutique opposite the Front Desk stocked with quality items for men and women. Likes the western boots custom made for Pres. George H. W. Bush encased at the Front Desk. The big highlight is the Lobby's art installation of the Texas flag made from books and dedicated to First Lady Barbara Bush in honor of her efforts on literacy. Excellent valet parking provided by Maroon City Valet. Hotel is centrally located near several dining options and even a Morgan Stanley wealth management office. Swimming pool is less than 4' deep, so really for wading in with your beverage and friends. Upscale gym located on my floor (3rd) with treadmills, ellipticals, weights.

United StatesThe booking.com info mentioned that the hotel had a restaurant, but that wasn’t the case. Additionally, when I brought up that the reservation included breakfast (as stated on Booking.com), the staff became defensive and did not help much, which was disappointing. A little more clarity and better customer service would have made the experience perfect.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, blending modern comfort with country charm. The rooms were great, with nice bedding and all the amenities we could ask for. The location was perfect — close to restaurants, shops, and the university, making everything super convenient. The elegant décor and unique touches throughout the hotel added to the overall fantastic experience. I highly recommend staying here! The hotel's bar was great too!

United StatesI don't think they had dining options inside the hotel. It would have been nice to be able to grab a quick breakfast. I believe you needd to go next door to Calvary Court for that.
The hotel was very nice. It's a sister property of Calvary Court where I have stayed before. This is a completely different feel, and they are both comfortable and, in my opinion, some of the nicest in College Station. The bar area was a fun way to relax. There are several good restaurants in the same parking lot, so it's great to have good dining options within walking distance.
