The staff, the room, the ambiance and the location.

The historic hotel was something to behold especially the culinary gems and great staff.

The squeeky floor of the guests above you does not make for a romantic or pleasant stay, especially with a five-star price tag.

Their service was great! I expected that because I had stayed at this hotel, which is way I made a reservation again. Their hospitality was more than I expected! The concierge at the front desk, the handyman who came and fixed the AC issue, the lady who gave another water bottle, everyone, was amazing. I'll definitely stay at this hotel, again.

I don't have anything that I didn't like. If I have to add something, the window glasses might have been cleaned up more from outside because I expected a good view of the White House side. But it did not a big deal, actually.

Bad un-far deduction from my card

Very bad as my above floor was fully of maintenance and i cant sleep one night.

I like everything, especially the staff. They are very friendly, polite, and professional. They know exactly what their guests need.The location is excellent, and the room is comfortable and cozy.

I paid to booking.com, at my arrival I am requested to pay again, they said pay here later cancel from booking.com. If not they wouldn’t accept me to hotel. After second payment, I paid %25 higher than what I paid to booking.com One of the worst experience I ever had at that level. Never trust 9.3 rating.

This location is surreal. Our room faced the White House

Nothing - it’s a beautiful place. It’s just hard to give full makes to a place for facilities when it’s old and quaint and doesn’t have a pool etc

The staff was courteous and kind and always a step ahead of us. And the location is perfection! I’ve stayed many places in DC, and it’s nice to not have to drive or cab. Walking in a city really changes the experience for the better, and we couldn’t have done that if we’d stayed elsewhere.

They charged my stay twice and still didnt remit my money

It is a most elegant hotel with very experienced, warm, professional staff. From the beautiful interiors to the turndown service to the gem of a bar it exceeded all expectations.
