Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. United KingdomOnly thing that could have improved our stay is tea / coffee making facilities in the room.
The location of this hotel is perfect in between the hustle and bustle of Times Square and the peace and tranquility of Briant Park. It’s also 2 minutes walk away from the Subway. The staff are so friendly and helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to help you have a good stay. The rooftop bar is a lovely place to unwind after a day out sightseeing or shopping. The rooms and spacious and very clean.

United KingdomScaffolding all over building, workmen outside window. Wasn’t aware the hotel would be taking $150 deposit each day which we hadn’t factored into our budget. Even though you put the do not disturb on door staff still come in. Rooftop bar was great but it was very expensive and range of soft drinks/mocktails was poor. We didn’t feel welcomed on one of our visits, there were loads of tables available but we were told too busy for a table even though in the time we were there tables were never used. You can use the bar but it doesn’t even have anywhere to sit. Complimentary tea and coffee would have been welcomed which is offered in much cheaper hotels.
Location was great, Times Square on doorstep and subway very close by

Surprisingly spacious and comfortable historic hotel right in Times Square with all the conveniences that offers. Friendly staff, excellent housekeeping and nice little touches abounded during the trip. Rooftop bar is a great place to recharge even if it's a bit pricey!

United KingdomThe elevators are very sub standard- very old and very very slow- there is a need to elevator refurbishment . I was staying on the 6th floor (ironically just next to the bank of elevators) and often would be stranded for many long feeling minutes before an elevator finally arrived. I think the rooftop access elevators complicate the set up. There was also a slight inconsistency of service in the cleaning of the rooms. Leaving the green service light on does not automatically ensure cleaning within a (say) 3 hour window/ so always best to find the cleaners to tell them to service the room. Provision of water in the room is a nice touch but on one of the days I stayed there the water was not replenished. Also it is strange there is no coffee maker in an otherwise well supplied deluxe level room. There is a cafe downstairs but it’s not open all the time. Maybe the reception can make coffee but no one told me that in check in!

The hotel is on the edge of Times Square. The rooftop bar has a view of the timeball they drop on New Years Eve. The rooms are comfy and spacious, the staff were helpful. It is beside a stop on one of the hop on hop off bus tours. No complaints and glad we stayed.But there are a couple of things to be aware of. No room fridge. No coffee or tea making in the room however there is a cafe on the ground floor.
