Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

It was a surreal experience. Everything looked like we are either on a different planet or in a movie.

United StatesFor the restroom, there was a porta poddy, and it was smelled and was hot inside. But at least there's somewhere to use the restroom.
The entire place was perfect and romantic. The room was absolutely perfect. It ad AC inside so we could cool down after being in the eat. The grill was perfect for making our burgers. The firepit was amazing because we were able to make smores and stare at the stars above. And the shower is outdoors which was really cool to use. With hot water.

United StatesWe didn’t realize the bathroom would be a portapotty. It was very clean, but hot during the afternoon.
Perfect location. Close to Joshua Tree National Park. Quiet, peaceful, dark at night for stargazing, with comfy chairs and a fire pit, hammock. The dome was clean and had almost everything you could need- refrigerator, hot/cold water cooler, utensils, grill, games, charger, electricity. The bed was very comfortable and the place was cozy! Private shower and sink outside. The owners were welcoming and very helpful.

United StatesNothing bad to say about our stay at the dome. This is not the “Hilton”. So stay there if thats more your thing.
Great location outside of town in the desert. Very comfortable bed. Frig and freezer, cold and hot bottled water for drinks. Dome was very warm and cozy. Nice fire ring outside with chair and a hammock to relax in. And the VIEWS! Stars, stars and more stars. And then watching an amazing sunrise from the comfort of bed. Host Ree was quick to respond to our call when we had some trouble with the door code at check-in. She even messaged us to tell us about the full lunar eclipse that night, which was amazing by the way.

United StatesI splurged on groceries to make a nice meal and was disappointed to find several basic cooking items missing. There was no knife. I had to use a butter knife to cut veggies and steak. There was no can opener (or knife) so I couldn’t open cans. Finally there were no tongs for the grill. I loved this place and will be back but can you please add a knife, can opener and tongs first?
I can’t imagine anyone in Joshua Tree has a better sunrise view from bed.

United StatesWe were only on the property at night (we spent our days in the park), and it was very cold, so we weren't brave enough to try the shower. I checked out the facilities, though, and it looked great with an open top, so I bet using it in the summer is sublime. We were a little worried about chemical toilets, but they were exceptionally clean, smelled great, and weren't too cold at night.
An excellent glamping experience in the desert just outside of Joshua Tree National Park. It was quite dark and the owners have been very mindful about minimizing light pollution, so the stargazing was superb. The view of the sunrise from the dome was an incredible experience, as well. It was in the 30s at night while we were there, but the dome remained warm and cozy, and the fire pit kept us toasty while we looked at stars. Everything was so clean, there was fresh water provided, and the communication was great. Wish we had been able to stay longer!

United StatesReally cozy, amazing views of the stars and sunrise/sunset. Loved that everything was provided (besides food, of course!), and that we didn’t need to bring any fire starting equipment! There were utensils and plates and cups and hot water and complimentary tea… everything we needed for a relaxing stay! Porta potty was clean and didn’t mind the outdoor shower— it is camping/glamping after all. Hot tip: shower before dark and bring slippers or an extra towel to dry your feet off if you’re wearing the towel in the shower so your shoes don’t get wet!

United StatesResponse from owners during stay was delayed and could have impacted experience (Struggled with grill and fire). You were right next to the other yurt so did often see/ hear the people next to you.
Amazing location. Amenities were what would be expected for location and cost. Would 100% visit again if back in Joshua tree.

the staff was friendly, the pod wonderful nicely furnished. Some good old instant coffee would have made life easier. the only downside was the porta potty by even that was ok. I would definitely stay there again! I dont know why there's a sad face on my review. no sad face here!
