The water pressure in the shower made it almost unusable it was so low. I have medium length hair and it took so long just to get the shampoo out (not sure if that was a problem just with room #17 though since we heard the showers running in the adjacent rooms and they sounded a bit better), however this brings me to my other criticism. Bring ear plugs!!! We were woken up at 6:30 AM by voices in multiple of the surrounding rooms. The walls are paper thin and we could hear every detail of conversation as if they were in the room with us. I guess these are the cons of staying in an old building.

The place was in a great location (it’s RIGHT on the lake and very close to the downtown area), staff was very kind and accommodating, and for a small town without too many dining options, it was great that the attached restaurant happens to be one of the best in town! Room was small but very cozy and the closet and bathroom were huge!

Strategic location between Blue Mountain Lake and Long Lake (but very close to Long Lake), old-fashioned lodge downstairs but up-to-date rooms on the second floor with great mattresses. Beautiful porch above the lake, even when it's raining, but nice sunsets when it is not.

The only downer was the teeny tiny shower. It was hard to maneuver in it ,but we managed. And maybe a dish for the soap that was on the sink would be nice, no place to put it upon usage. Would like to see maybe full breakfast offered in the dining room or at least a continental .

The food in the restaurant was wonderful, and enjoyed the dining room , adirondack decor, and historic pictures. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the lake and a king size bed. Sweet !

Could hear the cars drive by the road, but those were few and far between at night.

Friendly staff and atmosphere. Beautiful view of long lake from back patio with plenty of Adirondack chairs to sit and have a cup of coffee in the morning. Felt more like a home.

Window screens in the bedroom could use some patching.

A wonderful bar in the building that supports the dinner restaurant on premises. The food choices were varied, good and in line with dinner expectations rather than bar food. The lodge also offers a spacious living area with a covered porch looking down to Long Lake.

staff was really non existent. no one at check in note saying come to the bar if checking in. no cups in-room, coffee available in the morning, no breakfast. limited menu in restaurant, open Wednesday-Friday, limited hours, no breakfast, only coffee in lobby. Expensive for an overnite stay

The only thing I didn't live was that being an old place, it wasn't soundproof at all & you can hear everything going on around you.

Love the old ADK factor, the great room, modern amenities. Good food. Excellent coffee at the restaurant. Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! Free coffee at desk in am.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, with easy check in and out. And, the candy store is a dream come true. Give yourself atleast an hour to check it out. We would highly recommend staying here atleast once in your life.
