Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNothing everything met my expectations, the food was very good and the staff were friendly. Not sire if fireplaces are operable but tat would have been nice on the chilly nights.
Great location, free breakfast and excellent staff. While it is a very old building and has some issues because of its age it is a historic hotel with that charm that can only be found in old hotels.

United States of AmericaIt is an old, beautifully maintained, clean property that goes beyond meeting your expectations if you know what to expect from historic inns. Do not expect large rooms or modern bathrooms; but use this inn to expand your horizons beyond the sterile environment of more modern "conveniences." Don't miss out on a great experience!
Our family, all 13 of us, had a wonderful time in Gulfport, and much of the credit for that wonderful time belongs to this beautiful inn! It is incredibility located! Private, quiet (in spite of being on a busy street); the breakfasts were spectacular (delicious baked egg dishes and homemade freshly baked goods - absolutely loved the almond scones) on a splendidly wide front porch! So peaceful. The rooms are small and quaint, but sufficient; lovingly cared for. It may lack modern bathrooms, but the quaintness and the quality of the inn outweigh anything or everything you may expect in a modern hotel. So much character in an historic property so lovingly and cleanly maintained. It may not be for everybody, but we absolutely loved it! Highly, highly recommended for those who love historical inns!

United States of AmericaFridge in the room would have nice, seems you only get one in the upgrade rooms. No mention that the hotel is dog friendly, all rooms dog friendly. Had I known that I would not have booked. Need to address.
Breakfast was fine. Bar and restaurant shut early at 9pm. Shame. It would have been nice to sit on the veranda to have a nightcap before going to bed if you have eaten at the hotel restaurant. Menu limited.

United States of AmericaInn has a lot of potential but looks like they just aren't trying to keep it up or are just not great at decorating. Needs investment and higher standards. My bed had no bedspread. Towels were ancient and tiny. Lamp and TV didn't work. No place to put anything in bathroom. There was a dirty glass left on couch in our room. They just need to invest in a good chef and they'd be as busy as all the places around them as quality of dinner is ok but doesn't match up to ambiance. I think they get away with this because there's no other hotels in downtown Gulfport.
Overall setting is nice in terms of the building and neighborhood. Veranda for dining is cute and we ate there a few times. The included breakfast was very good. We were really excited and wanted to like it and are glad we supported it but probably won't return.

United States of AmericaWe had to ask for towels twice. The towels were small and scratchy. Did not get any housekeeping on Saturday hence having to ask for towels. The inn keepers were pleasant at best. In the mornings I had to greet them first . Upon leaving I had to thank them first and I got a response Did you leave your key? For as much as we paid for the room. You would think there would be better service and nicer towels. It’s the little things that add up.
The breakfast was small but adequate. It’s location location location. Bed was very comfortable.Thomas brought a a small fridge into our room. Old bed and breakfast matches the old Florida vibe. Gulfport great little city. Cute and ketchy.

United States of AmericaIt’s old and outdated. the room was too small and cramped with old furniture. I needed a step stool to get on the bed and I’m of average height. the TV didn’t work and needed servicing several times. The shower stall felt grimy and the water was tepid. The elevator is ancient and potentially unsafe. The room did not get cleaned, the towels not picked up and the bed was not made, the first day. When the front desk was contacted they were reluctant to clean it saying the cleaning people were no longer available. They were unapologetic and dismissive of my complaint. The restaurant dinner was mediocre at best.
The location was great. The breakfast was good and generous. The coffee was good. The restaurant appears to be very popular and the live music is great.
