Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt really could have used more cleaning, dusted and vacuuming.
The property was really nice, and good location. Breakfast was really good, you have a full sit down breakfast and get to know the other guest and hear more about the history of the Mansion. Bed was awesome.

We loved the Mansion and the history around it. Our host was great and had a lot stories about the history, and he made a great breakfast.

United States of AmericaJust giving us more time to sit and enjoy breakfast. getting to know people staying there at breakfast was always cut short due to having to leave so an event could be set up.
the breakfast was excellant. Seemed a little rushed out when other events were planned for the day. Other than that, very nice

United States of AmericaIf we were young, we would not have had any issues. Our room was at the top of a tight spiral staircase and carrying luggage was painful. A lot of trips up and down that staircase wore us out. We were there to relax.
Beautiful old home. The interior was breathtaking. Breakfast was wonderful and meeting new people was good. Our room was spacious and beautiful. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to do.

United States of AmericaExcellent B&B in historic mansion. Our room was lovely with two comfortable chairs, a non-working fireplace and comfortable bed. We stayed two nights and both breakfasts were delicious and well presented. Excellent value for your money. Taylor was very friendly and very attentive to being sure we had a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this B&B! Conveniently located in New Albany, IN across the river from Louisville,KY

United States of AmericaI stayed in one of the four rooms that didn’t have an attached bathroom. I knew this going in, so wasn’t a big deal. I would have liked a little more privacy with an attached bathroom because it was a bit of a headache to have to get dressed and go downstairs each time I needed to use the restroom. I also noticed that the property needed a few repairs including the ceiling above the reception area and also the painting/wallpaper in the private bath. But those details are expected from a historic building. I would definitely stay here again (but in a room with an attached bath). I would also recommend a more private dining space. It was a little awkward to share a big table with people I’ve never met. While we had great conversation, I experienced a bit of anxiety being in a small town as an LGBT couple. My worries were rested once I realized all the other folks were accepting and friendly. Maybe have breakfast in the larger room with individual tables, I think that would have relaxed my “breakfast anxiety”. All in all, it was an amazing visit.
I loved the property. The house was beautiful! It was built in the mid 1800’s and could use a little work but overall, the accommodations were great! The breakfast was phenomenal! I loved the food and the hospitality from Taylor (the innkeeper). I would have preferred a more private setting, maybe individual tables instead of the main dining table for breakfast, but overall it was amazing. I really loved the Pepin suite with the high ceilings and very ornate furniture.

United States of AmericaThis was our first B&B experience and it was excellent, but I should have realized in an older home there would be many stairs.
Taylor was an excellent host, we felt we were staying with family. The breakfast was very good along with conversation with other guests. I will definitely stay here on my next trip back home. I would have liked a little more history on the house and mansion row (even though I grew up in the area) but Taylor was so busy taking care of her guests which she did very well.

FranceNothing really except the inn keeper seemed to be in a rough patch, not in a great mood. I hope whatever is troubling her is resolved soon. She was professional. Just seemed off her game.
I loved the meticulously renovated mansion and the furniture, tall ceilings and space. The breakfast set at the dining room table was a treat as Ive been travelling and really missed the well set tables and meals of home.

United States of AmericaIn the morning sun, the dust under the large armoire was very noticable. However the rest of the room was clean and pleasant. When I booked it I didn't realize "private bath" was not attached. Apparently this is common in Bed and Breakfasts but I didn't realize it when I booked it. I didn't love going downstairs in the middle of the night, but thats not the fault of the Pepin Mansion.
The location was great. We did not have breakfast because it was earlier than we wanted to get up. The mansion was beautiful and very authenticly decorated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was quiet, we never heard the other guests. The room was furnished nicely, with comfortable chairs to sit in. There was room to hang our clothes and a luggage rack.

United States of AmericaOur breakfast was canceled. you would think at a Bed and “Breakfast” that some accommodation would be made if one was unable to cook breakfast- maybe a continental breakfast with at least muffins. As it happened, we went out to a local restaurant to eat breakfast, which added another $30 to our stay. (Ww recommend Toast on Market as an excellent place for brunch.)
Beautiful property. Loved walking down “mansion row.”. Employees were very nice and accommodating. The room was roomy, clean, and comfortable.
