No hotel staff readily around. Shower head was poor quality. I couldn’t take a bath because there was a problem with the overflow pipe and there was a waterfall below my room. The toilet was off balance. Only one window had a shade, meaning I had to change in the bathroom.

Obviously the lack of a lift. I’m sure once renovations start a lift will be first on the list!

It is clearly a place in need of updating in certain areas- ie the lift. Can accept non contact check in- and telephone number given if anything needed. The hotel has a lovely history and I’m sure that the new owners will make everything needed to modernise but also to keep the hotel’s charm.

Some amenities in room were missing

It is clean, there was no staff at the reception at anytime of the day. The facilities are somewhat modern even though the room looks old. I would say a bit on the pricier side given that the place is very old but the location is perfect.

windowsill's were very dusty as was the floor under tables in the room. Hotel is in need of renovation.

Restaurant service was great, so was the food. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the history of the hotel. Beds were comfy.

Incredibly outdated. Peeling wallpaper, amenities were stingy (towels, pillows, toiletries). No coffee machine in my room (ok- so this was in the property description) but I had to bring in my own water to fill lobby coffeemaker. No elevator.

Location was great. Manager was VERY helpful and accommodating with any issue I had. Bed was comfortable, and it was quiet in my wing of the Inn.

Check-in, check-out, and anything that needs cleaned or replaced in the room during the stay, you will need to ask for. If you prefer not to be disturbed, this is great, but if you like to have someone available and regular turndown service, you'll need to ask.

I was disappointed to find dirty shoes under the bed that had clearly been left there by previous visitors. Also, there was no front desk staff, so it was hard to voice any frustrations in the moment. The bed was also very stiff and the hot water stopped working after about 1 minute of showering.

I like the location and proximity to the town and Whiteface Mt.

The place needs to be renovated but overall the price/quality balance is good.

Our room was very comfortable. I loved the hardwood floors in the room. I also liked that you can get hot water for tea downstairs.

Insufficient heat in rooms. TVs did not work. Not enough blankets for the season. Not all electrical outlets were functional. Wallpaper was peeling off. No milk or creamer for the coffee. No elevator and no one to help with carrying up suitcases. Only 1 key per room.

The location is good. The size of the accommodation was very good. The beds were comfortable. towels were ample and good. Ample parking.

I enjoy staying at older style hotels that have some history and personality to them. Unlike most modern industrial chain hotels. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also pretty good.

Stained carpets, no staff on site and very thin walls

No staff available to service guests. Room guests are on their own to solve facility issues. Water cooler on main floor was empty, so not able to make coffee or access drinking water. Room was decent. Bed was not made well. Curtains were twisted. Took time to fix the rods so that the curtains would close. TV continuously lost signal while streaming. The bathroom was clean, but soaps were tiny. Restaurant is below par for such a great location.
