Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesMore clear description of the room when looking at a reservation. It is a great hotel.
The hotel was beautiful and the location was excellent, the ease of access and parking was also good, the room was clean and well apportioned, It is an old restored hotel and they have done an excellent job of restoring it. the temperature AC was good but we used the plug in fan that was provided to keep the air circulating and more comfortable for sleeping, the bed was soft and the pillows and sheets were also. A very large jetted tub is part of the room also. The room #219 had an extra room that was only useful if you wanted a separate couch and small table with two chairs or are having company over to your room and then it would be worth the extra cost as the balcony attached was unusable for anything, the only view was of the lobby space on the 1st floor. The internet signal was strong and fast enough, the restaurant on the main floor was very good for breakfast. If you appreciate architecture that is beautiful and nice and the price of the room doesn't scare you then this is a great hotel to stay at as it is a nice, nice place without being too lavish and over the top. I would recommend it highly. Great location to be able to explore the main street of Red Lodge MT.

United StatesIt is a historical hotel, so there are some limits to space and layout. All In all, the Pollard was great.
We loved the location, the historical component of the hotel and the wonderful staff that helped promote a positive Pollard and Red Lodge experience.

United StatesThe front desk person on duty when we checked in did not appear to love his job and essentially checked us in without a sincere greeting and barely glanced up. When we walked upstairs to go to the room, the key didn't work - he had given us the wrong room and didn't seem apologetic at all. Once into our room it was spacious and the bathroom was newly renovated and very clean, but there was some trash in the room's trashcan and also inside the ice bucket. Wish we could have stayed longer!
We loved the little town of Red Lodge, so glad we ended up staying here for one night. We stayed in a family room, which had 2 queen beds and a set of bunks, perfect for our family of 5. The room was quite spacious and the bathroom very neat and clean, and it was quiet in the evening. We even saw a deer walking down the main street from our window. The Pollard Hotel has an amazing history and it was fun to see the old register from the early 1900s and other pictures and memorabilia from the hotel's past. It was convenient to walk around town to many shops and restaurants and parking on street was easy to find.

United StatesThe Pollard Hotel is a wonderful hidden gem in Red Lodge. After traveling the Beartooth Highway all day we spent the night at the Pollard Hotel. It was like stepping back in time. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff were so friendly. The room was cute and very clean. Located right in downtown we walked everywhere. Beautiful little shops, wonderful places to eat or just grab a drink. The hotel restaurant was perfect for breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.
