Reviews of Beach Residences On Siesta, aka The Hyatt

The actual property is fantastic. The building is meticulously kept and the staff is cheerful and helpful. The morning breakfast is a great start to the day with a wide variety of breakfast items and coffees. The location on the beach is the best in siesta. You’re tucked away on the private Crescent Beach with a dedicated beach attendant who sets up your chairs and removes them at the end of the day. It could be better! Thanks to the staff for making our stay extra special and hassle free.

This is isn’t an issue about the property itself, but the management company who manages our unit. After the first day our internet and cable stopped working in the unit. I tried to diagnose the problem myself and was unable to get the router and modem to connect to the signal. One thing I noticed was that the power cord to the coax splitter had frayed wires and would spark if you bumped it. I assumed this was the problem and told the management company this each time I called. We called the management company the first night and were told that there was an outage in the area and Xfinity was working on it. We called back in 3 hours and got another person on the line who had no idea about our issue and said they would open a ticket to have it resolved. After a few more hours I called again and got their after working hours line and was told that WiFi and cable is not considered an emergency. My family and I had to sit in the unit with nothing to do all day/night. The next day I called promptly at 8am when the main office opened and was told that they had no idea that our WiFi was out and that they’d send over someone immediately from their team to resolve the issue. I told them that xfinity would need to come to property and for them to call to have someone come, but they never did. We tried calling but needed the owner of units information which we didn’t have. We went to the beach and after some hours I received a text saying that that person was unable to fix the issue and they were going to send over their expert this afternoon to resolve it. I told them it’s an XFinity issue and that they should call them to come out. We came home to two lovely ladies who I think were women who cleaned our unit (not experts) and they were unable to fix it. They said it was probably an Xfinity issue and then left the unit. I heard nothing the rest of the day. The following day I message promptly at 8am and got a response that they are working on it.

Easy check in even though it was after hours and a late arrival. the valet was awesome! Check in was easy. the property was clean. They were installing new carpet the morning after my arrival on my floor but you couldn't hear them, and navigating the hallways were easy with the work going on. the location was perfect and close to the bridge. there were good food/resataurant options on the end of the island, and stores. I never stayed on that end of the island and it wa super quiet which was wonderful!!!

The beds were not very comfortable, and honestly, that was my only issue.

The staff at the Hyatt Residences were friendly and helpful. Expecially Patrick on beach chairs and Shelly at the pool bar.

Our particular unit was right next to the weight room and all you heard, almost 24/7, were the dumbbells being dropped on the floor which sounded like a bowling being dropped. I mentioned to the front desk several times and while they apologized, they said you could hear it all throughout the building. It was so much of an annoyance that I will not stay in that unit again or probably any of the units on the third floor. Hyatt needs to put rubber flooring in the fitness room, so the sound is muffled. Also, the pillows on the beds are way too thick, more like a decorative pillow, making sleeping uncomfortable. And the washing machine was moldy and the lint trap in the dryer had not been cleaned so the dryer was not heating up. For the price we paid, we shouldn't have encountered these issues.

It states that a cooler is in each room. When we got to the hotel room there was none. Called the office said we could go back and pick one up. Kind of an inconvenience since we were already at the hotel. Was not offered to have someone bring it to us or just have it in the room for the next guest.

To be honest, we never made it to breakfast. Too many things to list on what we liked. We loved everything about the residences and look forward on coming back.

If I could think of 1 thing we didn’t like, I would have to say the bed pillows were too hard. Bed was fine, just the pillows.

Amazing location. Great apartment. Off site staff was very helpful.

Being in the Residences though the staff on site was not there to provide services to customers booking through our service. While it worked out fine, this was not abundantly clear. We were missing a parking pass and laundry detergent. Nothing major as we were provided these later.
