Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaAll restaurants in Hawaii including the hotel restaurant require a negative covid test. Once you have proof it's only good for 48 hours

United States of AmericaThe facility was spotless and in a location close to lots of shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. They were quick to meet all of our needs and requests. Our trip was part vacation and part solemn occasion. We had an at sea burial for a family member; the hotel staff were instrumental in assisting with locating a local company to make the arrangements. I would highly recommend the Ritz Carlton Residences.

United States of AmericaI have never stayed at a more beautiful hotel. One where every single employee anticipated my needs and went above and beyond. It’s absolutely worth the money and the restaurant, quiora, was AMAZING. We had it almost everyday for breakfast and dinner.

United States of AmericaNo shuttle service to beach and other areas. No room service.
I loved the customer service with front desk and valet. The room was amazing. Working oven and stove. Refrigerator and freezer, washer and dryer. Great ocean view from my room. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was clean and the toilet had a great addition of a heated seat. The pool views were amazing and I loved it wasn’t jam packed with people.

United States of AmericaWe had one of the best experiences at Ritz-Carlton residence in Waikiki as our first time in Hawaii. We definitely feel very welcomed from the moment we stepped out of the airport pick up. The view from our one-bedroom ocean-view suite was spectacular. The service during our 7 day stay are as excellent as many international resorts worldwide we've been to. We normally travel to Bali or Phuket, within this price range, you can get a very nice ocean view villa with a private pool and 24 hours of Butler services. However, we decided on Hawaii this summer due to covid cases rising in Asia. To be honest, we didn't regret deciding on Ritz-Carlton. If you want to wonderful resort experience as your first long flight travel post-covid, please don't settle in for 3 or 4 stars hotels, you will be shocked how poorly some of their services are. We learned our lesson in a hard way. Enjoy your stay here! You will love it 💖🌺!

This is not my first Waikiki visit, but this is the best until now. Spotless, big size room and strange round shape tub. Is not on the Beach but the property smells like new , and everything work properly. Walking distance from everywere!

IndiaFor things that we wish were better, is that Ritz is not actually close to the beach which was my impression when I was booking, but instead, the walking directions from the reception desk was to walk through Luxury Row! Which in theory sounds great, but was embarrassing when walking with a floatie on your head, and with two children wet and muddy from playing in the beach. Another inconvenience was that having breakfast at the La Vie in-hotel restaurant needs reservation done the previous day, you cannot just walk in after kids wake up. I don't understand why there is no buffet option for guests that are staying at the hotel.
We enjoyed our stay at Ritz-Carlton Waikiki, thanks to fantastic staff. The concierge folks and valet folks were always helpful and smiling and not waiting on tips. The housekeeping folks were amazing, such as quietly making the beds when the toddler was sleeping on the sofa-bed. Jefferson from engineering also made the children feel welcome.

AustraliaNext to no verandah. Would have much preferred to have room location with limited verandah clerly communicated as part of the room selection criteria. Breakfast experience wasn't great and as a result we chose to eat at other hotel restaurant options for the week. We would have spent alot more money at the property if the menu options were better. The fact that the adult pool was being servied during our stay should have also been communicated to us.

United States of AmericaHave to say again, the front desk staff and their superior attitude isn’t quite the right mode for Honolulu. They seem to be striving for professionalism, but that doesn’t mean to act aloof and cool—like they are trying to emulate a high-end Japanese hotel— doesn’t work here. Housekeeping and the Valet are truly excellent- with each interaction you can feel they go above and beyond. We stayed once pre Covid and then last fall— Front desk=consistently off and unable to deal satisfactorily both times.

United States of AmericaFor the price, I wouldn’t classify that as a two bedroom. The second bedroom didn’t have room for a suitcase. The room was also not clean. The shower had hair (not ours) stuck to the walls (on several sides). Several of the products had been used prior to our arrival and hadn’t been replaced. The food from room service was also extremely disappointing for the price.
The service and staff were all extremely kind and helpful. The amenities in the room (kitchen supplies) were great. Air conditioning worked exceptionally.
