The hotel room was not very clean, and it felt very damp (fixed after a little time with the air conditioning running). Disappointing seeing as we paid a lot for the room - it looked like it wasn't even vacuumed before we got there, and I know the hotel allows pets (so it didn't exactly feel like a clean place for the kids to play in). There was no soap or extra blankets/sheets in our room either, so not sure if they were fully ready for us, even though we had indicated we needed the crib and fold out sofa. There were only steps to get up into the hotel lobby, so it's not exactly stroller or accessibility friendly unless there was another entrance we didn't know about. Lastly, the breakfast was subpar at best. We were traveling with two little kids, and it was not something that worked for them.

The location was fantastic - could not be more "downtown" on Canal Park than where we were at. Everything was walkable, and the parking was super convenient to the hotel.

The staff were smoking in the window right in front of our room. We also heard some of the staff arguing outside our door. We also brought the dog (couldn't leave him at home because we didn't have a sitter) but were informed that we were not allowed to leave him in the room (even if he was in his kennel, and was quiet). This was frustrating, as many activities are hard to do with an older dog with health issues. We did find a place to board him, but the "no leaving the dog in the room" policy was not on the Booking website, or on the hotel website. So if I would have known that beforehand, I wouldn't have stayed here.

The front desk had one lady that saved the day entirely. Middle age and very nice and helpful. The younger girls couldn't of been more unpleasant, both in person and hearing one of them on the phone with some other potential customer. There is no way I'd book a room there based on the tone of her voice alone.

Room location was fine. For the second time in a row, the hot tub was closed. The lady you had doing the chemical balance clearly had no idea what she was doing. Train your staff!

The single cup coffee maker. For a suite you should have a regular coffee maker. I would’ve liked the option of having a room with Windows.

I liked the high ceilings and how spacious the room was. The refrigerator, stove and sink were a nice plus.

The room was not fully turned before our arrival. There was food left in the refrigerator that was not ours. The bathtub drain was not attached, and there was a large hairball in the drain. The living room TV was also unplugged-however we were able to get it working again.

The front desk staff were helpful. The morning breakfast was yummy. The rooms are unique because it is a historical building converted to suites.

We specifically chose this hotel for the amenities- the sauna being the tie breaker from other hotels, and we arrived it was all shut down and had been for a while - so disappointed we were not told or warned prior. Huge reason for staying and enjoying a hotel in freezing temps in the winter.
