The process to pre-check in online via uploading an image of a valid form if ID was a bit awkward as it came via text where many phishing and spam texts come these days. It was not clear to me that this was the way I would be given access to the property and my room.

All around excellent stay. The amenities were top notch. The property was beautiful, clean, and very quite. I would rate this property a five star and the value is amazing.

The stairs were dark and you could easily trip.

Our only complaint is that toilet paper, and the bathroom lighting is extremely dark. All the lighting was a bit dark and moody which is probably nice, but with lower vision the dark was a little difficult to navigate, especially at night.

It was so quiet and cozy! A beautiful, peaceful stay. The patio and the lounge areas were so wonderful.

Contactless check in is not a "bad thing", but if you are booking while traveling a lot and you miss the messages about how to pre-check in, it can feel a little frustrating to arrive and have no way to get in. So be sure to check your communication from the hotel in advance of arrival to avoid confusion.

This hotel was beautiful, and so well designed and decorated. The entire grounds felt very well manicured and posh. It was a fun experience and the location is wonderful for visiting the Nelson or hitting up Shakespeare in the Park. Gorgeous hotel. Loved the coffee bar. Safe parking. Beautiful bathroom with high end toiletries. Ice machine in the main house. AC worked very well, and the pillows were so comfy. Big soft towels, rain shower gets nice and hot. Very very comfortable stay.

Unfortunately we didn’t meet the owner or manager as we were given codes to get through the doors instead . Ok for us but maybe not ideal for a single guest. Always good to see staff. Some guests not entirely sure where to find their room . No breakfast available ,there was coffee. (Starbucks is round the corner) Leaving an electric jug by the Espresso machine could be a good idea .

The floors were a little creaky and I felt like I needed to be a bit mindful of that when I was roaming.

The mansion was beautifully renovated into a hotel and it is wonderfully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room offered every detail I'd hope for including 2 types of fans and a dark "makeup" wash cloth.

It was an unusual property. Almost like an Airbnb so no one is at a front desk. There are a few things that could be explained better. For example I went to make my coffee in the morning and there didn’t seem to be a way of getting water for the Nespresso machine. Perhaps having a covered pitcher full of water on the table would be a good idea. Many guests were also confused about the fact that there are two buildings across the street from each other and that made finding their rooms difficult. A little more explanation and a map could have helped. But the rooms were enormous and very pretty.

There is no elevator in the building and no staff on-site at night. So I had to carry my 50 pound luggage to 2nd floor and carry it down the second day. That was challenging.
