Location was great, coffee stand across the street was exceptional (Kookamungas). The little kitchen was a nice addition and everything was clean, and they provided us with coffee and snacks!

The stairs are I bit steep with them being open my dogs needed to have help up them. Being able to see though it scared them.

Not very clean, no wash clothes, no iron or ironing board as most places would have. Hot water heater needs either turned up or replaced. Hot water was gone after 15 minutes

I got eaten alive by mosquitos when we tried to use the beach trail that's recommended. We barely started the trail and it had our whole family running back to the chalet covered in bugs. Also stairs in the chalet are not friendly to young kids or old dogs.

The size of the hot water heater. It is a small one. I wanted to take a hot bath and relax, and it would even fill halfway up the tub

You will be locked out if you forget your keys in the unit. Door automatically locks after each opening.

It had a sleeper closer to the bathroom. We didn't use the bed in the loft. Stairs were too steep.

The hot water is not hot enough to wash dishes. It’s barely warm enough to take a shower. The drain in the shower is really slow.

Fireplace didn’t work - bad advertisement. Ver dirty with long hair everywhere and in the sink. Bathroom faucet didn’t work right and very slow to get warm water. Shower had NO pressure and very little warm water.

The stairs were WAY too steep. It was almost like going up a ladder. It felt very dangerous especially for me being pregnant. I took one shower and not even 2 minutes in the water went ICE COLD and would not warm back up.

The bed was very comfortable and the place was really cool.

Bathtub was slippery - need tub mat. Could not maintain constant temperature on tub faucet. Bathroom sink faucet did not direct spray properly. Steps were steep.

First of all the couch in the house we stayed in smelled like probably dog pee. It was a pretty strong odor that you could pick up on as soon as you entered the place. The house also boasted that it was just a short walk from the beach but unless you are a deer or maybe wear head to toe protective clothing, you cannot reach the beach from the overgrown trails around the Tidal Houses. And even after 15 minutes of trying to fight our way through brush and brambles with our two small children ,we could still not see the ocean and gave up on trying to reach the beach by foot which was disappointing. Also, they do warn you that the stairs in the house are steep and it is true. The stairs are extremely steep! So steep that I had to turn my body cockeyed just to get down them and I’m only 5’5”. For my husband who’s 6ft it was almost like climbing a ladder and I would not recommend these houses for small children for that reason. My son is great with stairs but these ones really put me on edge whenever he was on them. Lastly and this is a small thing but the bed in our room didn’t have an actual fitted sheet on it. It was just another top sheet covering the mattress. This normally wouldn’t be a notable annoyance but combined with all the other disappointing details it was kinda the cherry on top. Overall I can tell you, my family and I will not be staying at these houses again.

The location in town was nice, they were close to gift shops and restaurants and this really great mini donut and coffee stand called Kookamunga’s.

The floors,dishes,counters and dish towels were dirty. The door code we were given did not work and had to text and wait to receive new code. The place smelled like pet urine.
