We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesI've have never stayed anywhere this cold in my life. It's freezing in the house maybe 50 degrees at night. The down stairs bathroom is so so cold. Someone that lives here opens the bathroom windows and mind you it's 25 degrees at night. They leave it open. Whoever it is lives here permanently sonits a reoccurring issue.. So when I try to use the already freezing cold bathroom now it's the same temperature nearly as the outdoors. This person does it daily. I literally wear 2 pairs of socks long underwear insulated pants a shirt a hoodie and a long underwear shirt. I'm still freezing when I leave my room. I woke today at 4 am to use the bathroom the windows was wide open agian. It's 43 degrees outside bathroom is the same temperature nearly.
The value was great. It was easy to get the bus it's right outside the house practically. Pretty close to a safeway and planet fitness and a short bus ride to the light rail.

United StatesThe only downsides of this place were that 1) it was not very clean and 2) the walls were so thin that I could hear absolutely everything and everyone from the inside of my room. If those two things were to improve, it would be absolutely great place to stay at!
I really liked the location of this place, how comfortable the bed in my room was, and how responsive the owner was to my needs. For instance, when I got there, I could not find promised free coffee and so I contacted the owner about it. In no time the owner made sure that the coffee was restocked.

CanadaI used public transport and you are 45-55 mins from town. Though the bus stop is less than 5 minutes from the house.
It's as others have said a space to crash after a day out. The room is tiny. The facilities old but good. All very clean and good wifi

United StatesThe description says room is on 1st floor, then says it was 27 steps up. I think this issue is just poor grammer. All you get is the room. The room matched its description. However, the room was in a basement with 8 other rooms. It was paintedf all in white and was creepy. there was no place to eat or sit outside the room. There was an empty room with 4 old kitchen chairs but no table. The check in was marred by them omitting the right code. Once I got in the room, i locked it and never came out. The whole atmosphere was like a scene out of a horror movie or human trafficing.

United StatesDirty super cold 🥶 they don't run any heat at night. If it's 30 degrees outside the bathroom is 30 degrees. I'd wake up at 3 am from my room i need of sitting down in the bathroom. It was so cold i was shivering. Everything you use the bathroom this will be your experience if it's winter. Honestly it was terrible. I'd hold it until I couldn't anymore to avoid it. This was after nearly a month of stays. It never changed.
The price was cheap.
